An easy place for sandwiches made to order. Clearly a popular choice locally. Sandwiches for 10bucks and up. Would return if near by.
I once got punched in the mouth on this street by some punks that wanted to try somethin'. They said I owed them money. I haven't seen these people in my life, ked. Anyway guy socks me in the jaw. I sockem back straight knuckle crackin punch, dood. Straight sleepah, ked. Dropped em. Bla-blam! I scooped him back up and wouldn't you know it he realized I wasn't the guy. Then we went inside and got a sandwich. They were gud.
Perfect portion sizes, and so delicious! The chicken salad sandwich was not overly mayo-ey in flavor, and the dried cranberries were SUCH a perfect addition. I also had the carrot ginger soup which was packed with bright flavors and a great texture. Food was ready quickly, and the service was efficient and really friendly. All in all, really positive experience, and will definitely be returning soon!

In every place I visit, I'm always on the hunt for a great tuna melt. Yesterday I found the best one in Providence. I ordered it with cheddar cheese and rye bread. It was just the right taste, temperature and texture. Yesterday I split one with my daughter. Today we are going back and getting one each.
If you want choice, this is the place to go. Ocean State Sandwich offers up a plethora of creative choices for lunch. I had a toasted turkey and stffing sandwich and was it tasty. Located in downtown Providence, you can take out, sit in, or have it delivered. Serving size is just right as is the price.
Very fast service and good food, overall it was a good exspensive and not exspensive. Nice place to stop by and enjoy quality food.
