First time visiting Rhode island and looking for good eats, so I was told to visit Nick's! I loved the open kitchen layout as you can see the chef and staff prepare your food! I ordered the steak(medium)and eggs with a side of berry pancakes! Steak was under cooked (MR), but loved the sauce! The pancakes were AWESOME, light, fluffy and delicious!!
We had brunch⦠very special. Menu was interesting and had some creative items .. food was outstanding. The place is small and casual. We loved it! Street parking was easy to find. Going back soon.

food and service were wonderful crostini both chicken pate & tomato brie could make a meal best risotto (corn kale cheese) best I've had fresh tuna "fish & chips" unique and delicious
Nick's is good in many ways: tasty entrees, thoughtful menu, attentive service. The ambience was a bit odd, though: patio decorated with large fans, a noisy AC unit, and a single hanging pot of flowers with the price tag still attached -- yet the patio was far more appealing than the inside spaces. The small plates portions are indeed small (charcuterie plate excellent!), which led me to order dessert. The sweet potato orange sorbet sounded interesting to this lover of all things sweet potato, but it was more interesting than delicious. If you know what to expect here, you will have a good meal.
Our waiter was very good and very attentive. However there was a major breakdown in the kitchen and people who came in after us received their food long before us. It would have been a nice gesture for management to have offered us something for this issue. Iâve always enjoyed dining at Nickâs and will continue come back but I just wanted to bring this matter to your attention .
The food was fantastic and the service was prompt. Big thank you for the complimentary champagne to celebrate our 12 year anniversary. It was very kind and thoughtful. Coming back for that risotto and tomato crostini!
