WOW I cannot wait to come back here, and I can’t believe it took me so long to make my first trip! The food and drinks (I had latte and a mimosa) were all outstanding, and very reasonably priced. With a purchase of a reusable cup, I even had the latte free. The staff are all kind and friendly, and the space is cozy and bright. Even though it was bustling, the line moved quickly and we received wonderful and efficient service. Seriously, I will be back within the week.

So excited to try ! Chastised for wanting a straw for my glass iced coffee. Expensive pastries shoved in a bag. When I approached the owner she was uninterested. Don’t mind spending when it’s good food and great service. This fell flat. Not even a “What can I do to make this right?” This certainly is not worth “SEVEN ⭐️”

Ambiance: Its a very cozy and cute space that gets a little tight to navigate in when crowded. The seats are limited.Update: As stated in the response below, we were offered to return our food to the kitchen. We declined because by then we were really hungry and we just removed what we didn't like and kept eating. It would've been great if our initial request was followed instead of having to return food to the kitchen. As I stated in my original review, the food was good. We enjoyed it and even bought more items to go. I would go again. My review is open and honest and I hope the feedback is taken into consideration for improvement.Food: It is not traditional Puerto Rican or Spanish food. I would call it PR/ Spanish inspired instead. We ordered two egg, ham and cheese Mallorca sandwiches (the eggs were an additional request), two cappuccinos, one empanada and one guava and cheese quesito pastry for $48 + tip. The prices are steep for what it is, but I love a Gustos coffee and Mallorcas which are not easy to find in the US. I asked if I could get a scrambled egg in my sandwich and I was told that could not be done for a sandwich, which was weird because the sandwich listed on the menu below the one I ordered had scrambled eggs. I requested a well cooked yolk instead and the waitress said it could not be done. The owner, who was sitting at the counter, suggested to add a note to break the yolk and commented that it tastes better runny. I was shocked. Asking for the cooking temperature of preference for eggs is standard at any brunch place. After all, raw or undercooked could make people sick from Salmonella. At this point I was not surprised when we were served sandwiches with runny yolks falling off the sides, which we do not like. I cut it off and ate the rest. The owner (who served our sandwiches) asked us if the eggs were cooked to our liking (was she being sarcastic!?). Besides that, the sandwiches were good. Mallorca bread was not a real mallorca, but was really good and fresh. It was flaky with a resemblance of a croissant. The Mallorca bread we are used to in PR resembles a brioche, but sweeter. The sandwiches are big and took all the space in the small plate they were served in, which made it difficult to handle without making a mess (there's a lot of powdered sugar on top so it's not easy to eat with your hands and the limited space in the plate made it hard to cut and use utensils instead.) I would suggest serving in bigger plates. The quesitos were delicious and tasted more traditional. I bought two more to go. Gustos coffee is one of my favorites and honestly not easy to find anywhere in the US. They only had regular white sugar self-served from an open container resting on their counter top. People were talking over it as they were waiting for their orders and it definitely concerned me. After COVID we should've learned a thing or two about food safety and sickness spreading. It's common sense and I'm sure they could easily fix that. Also, if they can offer oatmilk as a substitute for milk, they could probably have different options of sweeteners.

Wife and I went for their tapas and cocktails offering on a Friday evening. My wife’s food came out after 30 minutes. The croquettes were tasty but the cauliflower was a little bland. The oysters I ordered were ok. My meatballs and stuffies didn’t arrive an hour after I had the order placed and I was told they were just being put in the oven, but at that point I was getting a hunger headache and couldn’t wait any longer. The cocktails and wine were pretty good. While the place is cute and the beverages were ok, the service is so extremely slow and the price is exorbitant that I can’t justify coming back or giving it a good review. Sorry, little sister, you have some maturing to do.

I absolutely adore Little Sister! I’ve been going here for the best brunch in town for about a year now and I cannot recommend it enough. My personal favorite is the raspberry passionfruit buttercream cake and the eggplant lunch plate special. Amazing atmosphere, beautiful décor, and incredible food. Also, the staff here is so kind to all of the patrons! The only drawback is that their dining area can get quite cramped, and then not all of their food can be taken to-go. If you are unlucky to get there during the lunch rush, you might not be able to order the dish you like. Additionally, I am lucky that I am not immunocompromised, but is unfortunate that those who cannot risk getting COVID cannot enjoy Little Sister’s full menu. That being said, that is the only complaint I have. Seriously, 10/10 food. Cannot recommend enough.

What a shame and hypocrisy! An establishment that has shiny equality messaging all over is discriminating it’s patrons. Don’t bother replying with “protection concerns” everyone gets sick and everyone spreads, it’s pretty evident at this point. It’s nothing but descrimination against your community members. Used to love this place, but they are not getting a single cent from me anymore. Not now, not later, never!

Saw a post on their Instagram page this morning and figured I should go try out what they had made today. It was a quesito this delicious pastry from Puerto Rico. Love trying new things especially the small business in the providence area.

I cannot actually comment on the food as we were unable to dine in. As I looked at the menu I overheard the woman taking orders telling the people ahead of us that they needed proof of vaccination. They were told it was a state mandate. My only issue with this is , it is NOT a mandate. Venues with a capacity over 250 have to wear masks regardless of vaccine status. Venues under 250 have to wear masks OR proof of vaccine. It is up to the owner which they want to enforce, but it is NOT a state mandate . Good luck…..

Food is so yummy and so unique. The aesthetic and vibe of the place is colorful, charming, very chill. Everyone is so friendly. I always bring my friends and family here when they come to visit Providence!

I was so excited to try this place. Cute little cafe in a cute neighborhood. The biggest brunch disappointment of my life. Ordered eggs, potatoes, & toast…eggs were way overcooked, and the potatoes were burned. Both my friend and I threw most of our entree away.
