This is based on a take-out experience, maybe it’s better dining in?Anyway, my mom and I purchased take out from this spot, and it left much to be desired. I ordered the steak mexicana…not much flavor and they forgot my rice and beans. No tortillas either…My mom had the ceviche tostada which she said was “okay”.My toddler had the chicken tenders and fries. He liked the fries? The chicken tenders were beer battered? He wasn’t a fan, but he’s also only a toddler so his tastes are over the place.Super disappointed and will unfortunately have to continue the hunt for good Mexican food, as I haven’t been able to find any as of yet.
Personally I've always had good service when visiting however I crossed paths with a man who had been waiting half an hour for only 3 tacos. He had been there when the place wasn't busy and multiple people who entered after him got their food before him. He did get a free drink and dessert though.Other than that La Lupita has amazing food and I would recommend anyone in the area try it.
La Lupita- I moved from California years ago where the Mexican food is amazing. I was disappointed with Rhode Island Mexican food offerings until I found La Lupita. Fresh, amazing, friendly, and community oriented family owned business. I highly recommend!
So I just placed an order of 12 "EXTRA" tacos which are $3. I get charged more($3.50) and the lady at the counter tells me because of taxes? How absurd. Then she tries to tell me it is the register doing this? SO basically all customers have been overpaying for their meals? I was trying to explain to her that she overcharged me and has the audacity to tell me I have an attitude? And btw It clearly states it on the receipt that it was not taxes. I can only wonder how long has this been going for. I am reporting them to the AG office.THIS PLACE CLEARLY MISSES THE POINT SO LET ME EXPLAIN THIS AS IF IM SPEAKING TO A 2YR OLD. YOUR SITE SAYS $3.00 FOR EXTRA TACOS, I WAS CHARGED $3.50...PLAIN AND SIMPLE BEFORE TAXES. IN OTHER WORDS, YOUR "REGISTER" IS NOT CORRECT AND CHARGING PEOPLE MORE THAN YOUR SITE SAYS....HOPEFULLY YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT. BUT I HAVE FILED A COMPLAIN WITH THE AG...THANKS

Definitely not authentic Mexican food. I ordered ceviche and got a cup full of chopped onion, cilantro and maybe 2 or three pieces of fish in tomato lime juice. The rice was dry. The menudo smelled offensive like the meat was not washed thoroughly. The guacamole tasted weird. Absolutely disappointed with this place. ????
Being from the west coast, I know what authentic Mexican food tastes like. I moved to CT 11 years ago and have tried many Mexican restaurants claiming to be authentic, but all just disappointed me. This place, however,knows what a real carne asada should taste like. Great salsa too.
I ordered a beef soup for my little daughter but was very salty I thought maybe it was just that soup than The owner of the restaurant offered me a chicken soup instead but I was salty again. Than I said to him again I don’t want to be a bad person complaining but Not me, neither my husband and my daughter can eat that soup. He said sorry but I can’t change your soup for other thing. We cook like that. I left the place without a meal and without my money back. No good customer service!! And very salty food.?????
The food here is delicious! The servers are very nice, however the gentleman at the register needs an attitude check. Regardless, I am returning here when I'm back in the area. Awesome authentic Mexican!
I always visit this place when I make a trip to Providence. It's a little place in olneyville. Great tacos, great choices, Great prices as well. Place was clean and quiet when I went. I always bring friends here if they are in the mood for some great authentic Mexican Food
