Lovely place. Food was excellent. Bread was from an excellent bakery. You must stop in here.Lunch is about 14 to 18 and includes a choice of three soups and the fresh bread and it includes dessert.Wowo!
This is it, right here, this is the place. The food is outstanding, the room is old school elegance and the staff......they are on it, very detailed. The place is busy so that tells you all you need to know. Highly recommend you come in and sit down and just enjoy the feel, its like being in Italy.
Wonderful simple old world Italian dining. Service was top notch, everyone was very friendly and wasn't just helpful, they make you feel at home. The atmosphere was very relaxing and classy. The food was superb, made exactly the way you want it. They are more than happy to do special requests. It's no wonder there were 3 birthday celebrations tonight (that I know of). Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for top notch classic Italian cuisine.
In town from New Orleans. Worked all day and was rewarded with the most amazing dinner. We have great food and especially Italian food but I will pt tonight’s experience against any in New Orleans. If you can get Randy as your waiter you can’t loose.Everyone probably has their go to and all service looked exceptional!!!!
My fiancee Gary & I (suzanne) went their on the 13th to celebrate Valentine's Day, Paul our server was a riot and gave impeccable service with a side of humor. The food was savory and tastebud worthy. Great atmosphere as well...we can't wait to go back this definitely will be 1 of our regular spots.
Old school southern Italian cuisine in a classic environment. Tables kind of close together, so loud. Great great food according to all 5 in my party.
Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in RI! Sal is the best.
Friendly staff, cute cozy place. The menu is extensive. I am 100% Italian, first generation in America. I visit Italy as I have family there, my first language learned was Italian. My parents speak Italian at home...just to give you an idea of my italian authenticity. The selection on the menu here is authentic Italian dishes such as smelts, melon with prosciutto, tripe, frog legs, pasta with garlic and oil, osso buco....again an EXTENSIVE menu of AUTHENTIC Italian dishes. I rate the food a 4 out of 5. If you want an idea of how dishes are in italy, give this place a try.
We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. The locals were friendly. I liked that we weren't rushed through our food. We got the stuffed mushroom caps which were delicious. Then a while after we were done with those, we were asked what else we'd like so we ordered an antipasto salad. We shared that and it was plenty. Once we were done with that, the subject of snail salad came up and everyone agreed that theirs was the best so we tried that as well. Everything was very good. I would recommend this restaurant. There was also more elegant dining available in the dining room.
I have been going to this place for 40 years and have NEVER had a bad meal. I have had just about everything on the menu and it is such a treat. My husband is a 45 year Chef in Boston and this is one of the few places he eats. The staff is great, the owner is so friendly and the restaurant is always clean. One of our family favorites
