I am so pleased to see that Haruki East is still thriving after many years. The sushi rolls are generously sized (not loaded with rice as some can be in other places). The fish is fresh, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Try the die hard roll or the rainbow roll, two of our favorites.

Went there for lunch with my boyfriend, the service was slow and the food was okay. We ordered off of the lunch menu, nabeyaki udon, chicken teriyaki bento box and wayland combo. The nabeyaki udon I ordered was topped with asparagus and sweet potatoes as toppings….. what? There was additional toppings as mentioned on the menu but it looks like they just put scraps in my food. The tempura was crisp and delicious though. The bento box and the sushi combo were average. In the past I’ve also ordered the fried calamari, it was atrocious, kinda soggy and tasted just off… The waitress looked disoriented and overworked but she was very nice and genuine.

Horrific. I'm shocked by the positive reviews of this restaurant. Maybe because it's close to the schools. I do NOT suggest it. Stale avocado, rancid shrimp, and grey salmon. I've been 3 times and it's so much worse than the other sushi spots in Providence. I can only think its walking distance to colleges makes it popular. Service is slow and disrespectful all 3 times. Go anywhere else.

Great small restaurant. One afternoon right after work I walked by and noticed they served sushi and other meals. I made the order, waited about thirty-five minutes and the lady at the bar offered me a free drink while I waited. After my food was given to me, I paid and went home to eat. Great ambiance, quiet place (I don't know what it's like on busy days), the food was delicious!

Haruki is one of those places that I will continue to go back to hundreds of times. Not only because of their beautiful restaurant, expertly crafted drinks, or even the excellent service, but because of their food which has shaped my palette since I was young. You don't want to miss out on Haruki East!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant is rhode island. Everything is so fresh and delicious been going here for years and it's always the best!

A mistake was made (again) on our expensive sushi order for pick up. Got all the way home, wrong order. Couldn’t get right back and asked them to refrigerate the sushi. Instead, at pick up sushi was still in the bag, packaged between 2 boxes of steaming hot rice (one of which they forgot to put in the original order). No remorse. No apology for our inconvenience. We also stopped going for a while due to a decline in quality and decided to give another try. Last time.

10$ lunch special was fun while it lasted :( now it's 12$. Still good food!

If you want good sushi that dosent come out warm and mushy go to NAMI, first time here tonight got tuna avocado to go and it was gross, tasted like gas station sushi and came in a styrofoam container like what ?! , never going back

My sole, but vehement, negative review is that we had ordered a substantial portion of our meal to go; we ate the portion we meant to eat there and then left, forgetting the portion packaged as "to go." As soon as I was out of the restaurant, I realized that I'd left the "to go" bit on the table, so I went immediately back and was there within four minutes of our leaving the table--and they had, they said, "trashed" the to go packages. I find it inconceivable that they didn't even keep it five minutes--not to mention ten or fifteen--thinking that of course the buyer would realize their error and return immediately. Their callous and dismissive attitude just added to the negative experience.
