I thought we were ordering burgers when it turns out we were ordering sliders. Thankfully they were really good so I was okay with it. Prices were nice too. Gotta come back here sometime
Smaller than the other venue but cozier. Very tentative staff, fast service, in and out plus the food was good. We had a group of five on a Monday and we may have been served and finished in 15 minutes. Great for quick lunch or after work bite.
Simply awful! The food was ice cold when it arrived & tasted like it had been microwaved before packaging! The bacon was raw & gross! The sweet potato fries that I paid extra for were ice cold & soggy! I will NEVER order from this place again it was a total waste of my hard earned money!!!
Happened upon this joint looking for some lunch with my family, and happy I did! Nick was our server, he was friendly and personable and did a great job! It appears he was the only server on the floor and there were a couple of bartenders on, as well. I had the MOAB sliders and they were the bomb!
After exploring Downtown Providence for the first time, my husband and I were looking for a place for dinner. After scanning through the menu, I figured that I could find something that was gluten free as I have Celiac disease.Restaurant has street parking so don't count on snagging a spot out front. We walked and it was so convenient from Roger Williams National Memorial.The dining area downstairs was small and full so we were seated upstairs. The steps are steep and I felt bad for the poor waitress who had to keep running up and down with plates of food.Dining room was a bit meh? I don't know. Could have been a bit cleaner. Our table was sticky and there were random supplies stored on another table in the dining room. It was also very dark so it felt spooky until more people were seated upstairs with us.Waitress was nice when I said I needed gluten free items. She said chicken wings and fries were off the menu for me as they're in a shared fryer that contains gluten. I appreciated that she knew that as so many other restaurants don't know about fryer cross contamination.Prices are super fair which is nice for the college kids in the area. I was only able to have a burger bowl which is pretty typical when it comes to eating at American restaurants as a Celiac.If you're price sensitive and you need something quick to eat, this place is a good choice.
I loved this place. Got a pineapple cider and boy was it tasty! Edit: 3 Years later and they still have my favorite beer. And the burgers are as great as ever!!!
There may be no better place on a cold winter night than Harry's Bar & Burger. Based on several reviews, my wife and I walked to this cozy downtown restaurant. Sliders was our goal. And Harry's Bar & Burger has numerous choices for you. Sliders is the main menu item so there is a burger just for you. We had troubles deciding which one would be best, but because they are sliders, we ended up with several types. Every single one of them was delicious! The two of us sat at the small bar as we love interacting with restaurant staff. Besides, we are right there where all the action is. Our bartender was very friendly. She served up some great beer for us, including one that had nitro. I was in heaven with the nitro beer. It was obvious that Harry's Bar & Burger is a downtown destination as locals were constantly coming and going during our 90 minute visit. To us, it appears that takeout is huge a portion of the restaurant's business. Seeing so many locals reconfirmed our choice to eat here. We have been to numerous restaurants for sliders and as far as we are concerned, Harry's Bar & Burger served the best we have ever had. They are so good that we may have to make another trek to Providence!
Always a fun dine-in and takeout experience! If you're looking for a quick, tasty burger joint, this is the place. However, the enjoyment of Harry's even exceeds their excellent sliders. Hot dogs, Shakes, fries, all crafted into a comfort food experience that is difficult to find anywhere else.
We got Turkey burgers and a chicken sandwich, and they were REALLY good. Highly recommend! Service was fast and friendly.Fries were just alright; if/when we come back, I’ll just get three sliders and skip the fries.
So glad we got visit this restaurant while we were in Providence, great service and food!
