Good food, good service and a great selection of drinks.
06.24.2022On my first visit to the Federal Taphouse, it was because we were celebrating my sister's birthday. The valet was very helpful. The hostess was amicable and funny! From the get go our bottomless cocktail mimosas, to the food and the music; everything was fantastic!My sister had a great time listening and singing to few throwbacks (songs that were playing on the speakers) and of course we sang with her. ?I did enjoy the black bean vegan burger and fries. And a Ceasar salad. While everyone else had different meals. I must admit that I did not expect the place to be so busy on the weekend and yet our server was always there asking if we needed anything and bringing over the mimosa jar. The food was really delicious and the portions were more than I expected!I know we will be back for another birthday or anniversary.
Service was poor. Appetizers came out at the same time as meals. One meal came out 30min after the rest of the food. Table remained covered with empty plates and glasses. Server did not offer drink refills until after meals came. Once a refill was requested, they did not come out until everyone was done eating. Long story short, I wonât be going back. Lots of better options on the hill.

We sat outside and the team brought us an umbrella to cover from the sun, I really enjoyed our brunch there. Mimosa glass was never empty and the food was delicious!
Food was delicious. We started off with oysters I had a white gummy bear shot that was really yummy and my husband had a beer. I had braised short rib grilled cheese by husband the fish tacos ? ? The food was delicious however I have to say the service was just okay. She didn’t refill drink, took forever to get our check. It’s a cool place with a cool vibe. Hopefully the server just had an off night. Parking was a little pricey. The whole street the restaurant sits on has a whole cool festival vibe.
Food was great! Busy place, great staff but drinks were weak. I question if there was any alcohol in my drink. At $13 a drink it should have had a little kick.
