I’m sorry, I used to love purchasing food from here but lately it has gone downhill and the price has go uphill. I second what a majority of the reviews have already said. High price low quality of food, and LITTLE to no MEAT, if I’m looking at you dish out my food and I have to ASK for you to put more meat, that’s a problem! $12 for a plate and I’m getting only two pieces of meat squeeze into a tiny bowel . You’re technically only paying for the bowl of rice. But I’m good on this place til they figure it out. This my 2nd review EVER so….
I love the cassava leaf I try to order here at least once a week. small and in south providence but clean and so tasty, you can see them prepare your plate so that's always a plus for me. Unlike most similar restaurants they keep the prepared food covered so it's not sitting out with just a open case to keep it germ free.
The food is really really good. Their jollof rice and donuts taste exactly like Nigerians. Their plantain and fish is deliciousssss!!!!! I wish I give ten stars.

Food advertised in pictures is not what you get. Spinach is all they have for greens when I asked for cassava. Rice is cooked fine, but you could make it better at home. The chicken wasn't as fresh as I'm used to and there was bones in it so I know it wasn't properly cut when I keep chewing on bits. I was told to wait for ten Minutes while they were on the phone. No problem but I should've taken that as a red flag and gone someplace else. The pepper soup wasn't even spicy and I can tell it was cooked days ago. It just packed overall flavor.. theres really no good african spots in Providence but if you want african food just go greet your african neighbor and hope they may give you a plate
Food is good. Overall I am good with this place. I am too classy for unprofessional people. No eye contact, attitudes when you ask questions. The Customers money keeps a business open. Please Remind that.
The restaurants has gone downhill big time. They charge for a small bowl of soup and they serve small portion of rice in a large tray, which is a rip off. Also, the food was extremely salty. Whoever is cooking in that kitchen needs to lay off the salt. People are dying from high blood pressure and this restaurant is encouraging that. If I was not starving I would have never stopped by that restaurant because I can honestly cook better than what I have bought. Those who are reading this, stay away from that restaurant, you will be highly offended by the saltiness of the food and by the rude attitude of the woman who is serving the food. As a small business he would think they would have common courtesy and friendliness to their customers, but it seems like they act like the customer owes them something. I would never ever go back again.
I just had there spinach and white rice it was the best i ever had
