The Blue Cottage has a somewhat short but complete breakfast menu and covers all the bases for variety and has, what I would consider, THE best homemade corned beef hash anywhere in Rhode Island, maybe even in new England. I really enjoy how the cook fixes my eggs when I have them.Jolene, the owner, is the waitress with her daughter and is pleasant and hard working. I highly recommend the Blue Cottage for breakfast or lunch when visiting any of the shops on Hope Street close to Rochambeau.
I’m surprised to see the high reviews, makes me wonder if these are an abundance of fake reviews. I ordered the hash omelette with well done home fries and toast. Aside from the hash inside my omelette, nothing had flavor. The home fries had no flavor even though there was seasoning sprinkled over. The egg wasn’t that good either and you can’t really mess up toast. For the price, I can think of many other places to go that have very good and flavorful food. Georginas in CF, little sister across the street, and even places like tiggers in Pawtucket. All those places have flavored home fries lol. This had to be the worst breakfast I’ve ever had.

Homemade hash. Nice and crispy. Good pulled strips of corned beef. Fast. Open nice and early in the weekends. Open right before 7am. Reasonable prices.

Their hours can be tricky but some of the only diner food in Hope Village- super friendly, very accommodating, always very good food. It's tucked away like a hobbit hole but keep an eye out for a blue cottage styled storefront... ohhhh, now I get it! Cash only right now.
