I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START! Everything just makes me so happy. I would definitely make Baccaro my go to if I still live in Providence. You will not regret dining here whether it is with a couple of friends or with a large party. The service here is amazing. All the staffs are super friendly and accommodating. And the food - omg. I don’t recall the name of the dish but the foie gras on the small toast with jam was above and beyond. My entire group got 2 more rounds after we tried it out. It just melts in your mouth. Perfect amount of saltiness and sweetness. PERFECTION. And the pastas were amazing too. My personal favorite is the Pasto Con I Funghi. The Egg yolk ties all the flavors together. We doubled up on this dish when we dined there. And for desserts, we got the Lemon Meringue Tart. It was the dessert we needed - light, refreshing, but still filling. I’m so glad we booked Baccaro two months in advance. We had such a great night here? Thank you Baccaro!!!
I will say The atmosphere is nice and we had a great table on the second floor overlooking the city. After that things were a bit downhill. Our server was very nice but not on her game by any means. We never got two of us sides and I had a very bad reaction to the cioppino. Not in a rush to go back. I did notify the restaurant of the potential bad food and they said it was too soon for me to have a reaction. But they would let the kitchen know. Which is not true based on the health department.
Always delicious! The server was fantastic! I highly recommend the lemon drop cocktail; it was amazing! The view was amazing on the walking bridge and providence river! This is a must-go experience!They also offer a choose your own charcuterie board, they also have wonderful preselected combinations! All prepared fresh from their own supply of a deli-style counter!They pride themselves on being a from-scratch kitchen and everything is fresh! Be prepared to order your dessert at the same time as your entree as they will make it fresh!
Wow. What can I say that hasn’t already been said? The food was AMAZING. Everything.The service is UNPARALLELED. I was on a first date (tragically, a horrible one) and at the end of dinner my date wanted to sit and talk, even though the kitchen was closed. I wanted to get out asap and when our server came over and my date asked if we could sit and talk, she glanced at me and saw the pleading in my eyes and told him we COULD stay, but it would be rude to since the kitchen was closed and everyone else was leaving.12/10, what a server. I will be back because any server that will kick you out to make your date end is at the top of my list.
Went for NYE and everything was outstanding. I love the beginning with a notepad where you check off all the small bites you want to enjoy. Entrees were excellent and service very attentive. The bolognese was well done. Only disappointment was dessert. Our large group did 4 of them and all were lacking / unimpressive.
All food was amazing. Duck appetizer is a must. Fried ?? chicken was amazing!!
Overall, it was good. My martini came in a stemless wine glass (they ran out of martini glasses), had to wait over 1/2 hour after our reservation time. The table location was spectacular overlooking the river to Providence. Food was good and wait staff was excellent.
We travel out of state to come to this restaurant because it's absolutely phenomenal and top notch in every way. Best lemon drop martini I've ever had. We always start with tapas and a grilled pizza, all of their pasta's are incredible and I highly recommend the steak special when they have it. Desserts are made to order and never dissapoint! My one issue with our last visit was we were told we couldn't sit near the window even though the table sat vacant for our entire dinner. The waiter was quite abrupt when we asked initially if we could sit at that specific table.
Below average service, arrogance, and overpriced. We all know about staffing issues, but if you need to run a mere five nights a week with subpar help, maybe consider going down to four, and run with the best of your best if thats an option. Everything has been downhill for this establishment for years now, and dont see the owners turning it around anytme soon. Best of luck.
Love, love, love Bacaro. Had another amazing dinner there, last night, with a great friend. The food was beyond wonderful, as always, and I would be remiss if I didn’t point out the OUTSTANDING service. Even while I was waiting for my friend, next to the bar area, two employees asked if I wanted something to drink, or even a glass of water, while I waited. Honestly, you just don’t see such great, attentive service like that very often, so it was really refreshing/nice to see
