Excellent staff, excellent food, always hot and they always get it right! .I love the grilled chicken sandwiches however their nachos, burritos, burgers, hot dogs, black bean burger, fish sandwich, fish and chips, gyro ..and the list go on ..and on. Oh oh...The best milkshakes on the planet. They have a fabulous menu that will be sure to please even the pickiest. Also, great if you have allergies to food. ...they will accomodate. Great food ..lovely family owned restaurant. You will not regret stopping by.
Always liked this place but love it now!! Most recent owner(s) have really cleaned up the place ... it used to be pretty dirty, but if you were stopping in for late night hot wieners no one really cared. Nicely takes care of the hot weiner cravings.
Yesterday on a Saturday night coming here with my significant other we were welcomed by a kind server and the owner baba. The place is sanitary and organized. The hot weiners were delicious and went really well with a coffee milk. (Make sure to ask it for all the way) Definitely coming back soon.
I tried the Greek menu- awesome! Fresh soft pita toasted on the grill, holding nicely grilled souvlaki with real tzatziki. With some of the best fries in Providence.

Always passed by this amazingly looking place when going to Downtown Providence — I regret not coming sooner. Welcomed by a friendly waitress. Met the owner baba - I can tell he’s a hardworking guy that serves his community with good food and atmosphere. Very clean! The history is where it’s AT. I appreciate baba taking over 5 years ago under new ownership and making this place run ever since then. I hope many years to come and wish you and the family luck.
Delicious food! We arrived at 7pm. The owner was super friendly, conversational and provided free samples of their strawberry shortcake and Nutella milkshakes. Both tasted great! If I wasn’t watching the calories, I’d get the Nutella one. The weiners are scrumptious! Get those! I ate a tasty beef-lamb gyro with hot, crispy fries. I will definitely come back here when I’m in Providence again. I recommend dining here. It’s very worthwhile even parking may be limited.
The food was very good. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. The place was very very clean especially the bathroom. I love the service and I don't think I will ever go back to Olneyville New York System. If you never came here you need to stop in. I also like the fact that they have different combo meals. The owner is very creative and I look forward to come back again.
Absolutely love Baba's and it's the original New York System in Providence, don't let anyone fool ya! Best food on Smith Street! Always super fast, super kind, and super yummy. Have never had a major complaint.I try to go a few times a months at the minimum!
