I'm so excited to share this amazing place in PVD?I didn't have enough information about this place but could feel something good about this place. So I tried it with my loved friends.Wow! I think this is the best Portuguese restaurant in PVD!Every plate they brought amazed us.Especially, Seafood Paella and Victor's Carabinerios which is garlicky Jumbo prawns. And the patio is so lovely. This place brought some nice exotic vibes to us.I want share the dishes I had.As the name of the foods on the menu might be unfamiliar to you._Seafood Paella: A Portuguese take on paella with little necks, shrimp, mussels and squid)(I loved this Paella. As I don't like to have sausage and chicken in my Paella as most of Restaurants do._Victor's Carabinerios: Garlicky jumbo prawns served with Portuguese roll(The sauce made with olive oil, lemon, garlic with pinch of secret ingredients is amazing. I dipped my bread in the last drop of the sauce)_Queijo de Cabra: Baked goat cheese place in a tomato garlic paprika sauce with crostini(It's a classice Portuguese bar food goes well with my Portuguese wine? )_Tula Fries: Plantains with a creamy cilantro dip_Tacos Callejeros: Pork chorizo on a corn tortilla. This taste reminded me of Korean spicy pork bbq)_Flan : yum ?_ Tresleches cake: moist cake witj vanilla cream, topped with a hibiscusesDespite all these good points,I took one star because of dirty plates and cup.We had to ask our server to replace dishes which were not washed properly and cup with a lipstick mark. But I still want to visit the place to try foods I haven't had yet.
Beautiful restaurant the environment and the people are amazing, the meal are so good I recommend 100% to anyone. Thank for making my friends birthday so special.
Wonderful! We were so excited to try Aguardente after hearing great things, and it did not disappoint! The two bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered about 5 different dishes and all were unique, tasty and fresh. The little necks were outstanding and the espresso martini was a heavenly way to end the meal. The artwork and overall design of the restaurant is beautiful and you can tell the owners put a lot of passion and hard work into this place. Can’t wait to return :)
Loved the place. Good food tapas style. Cocktails were good too.
First time here. Not my last. The bones was the best pic I could get of the lamb chops. The seafood paella was outstanding. Everything was amazing, including the service and the atmosphere. Small but mighty!!! (Please open a location in Middletown/Newport....we are desperate for a great tapas place)
Super cute spot with awesome food! We came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and ordered seven dishes, expecting the typical small share plates. The portions were generous and incredibly tasty. If you like buttery garlic items, I’d highly recommend: the Victor’s Carabinieros (garlic prawns), the Prego ou Bifana (beef sando) and the costeletas de Borrego (lamb chops). The drink menu alone was stunning. We tried the Wake the Dead and the twist on the Pisco Sour, and would want to come back to the mezcals!!Recommend for: Date nights and small groups (4 people).
Flavors to savor—on our first visit, everything we tried from the small plate fusion concept menu here was deeply flavorful and satisfying. Even the teeny-tiny chox cup w/a single cherry floating in liqueur for dessert (see photo).Have reserved to return for more experimentation next month, but I probably won’t change drinks: their Pisco Sour was perfect. Dining at the wide bar was comfortable; for next time we’ve reserved a table to see how that feels. Live music beginning at 7:30 pm Friday & Saturday from a solo singer was a surprise bonus. The owner was on site and circulating to ensure customer satisfaction. Great addition to the East Side’s restaurant options that duplicates nothing already available in the neighborhood.
Oh well I'm definitely NOT sure if this is the place to replace Riviera (that sucks since new ownership) as portuguese cuisine and ambience in Providence, RI!! The wife as excited about this new place, so we tried it!! First was hard to find a parking spot, then after sitting down the host alerted that we need to leave in 1.5 hours, seems they need the table ? but it has a cute decor (except for the tiles on the wall)! Our waitress was lovely but needs training... she didn't knew that PREGO is a steak sandwich and BIFANA a pork one ? but I ordered it anyway! While letting it cool off in front of me I was getting sick by the sense of butter coming out of it, I complain about it but if I could have mustard I'd have it... they have NO mustard, not even from a supermarket bottle... I send it back ? I saw an older guy all over the place wearing Arizona Sandals (how professional), he's the owner but didn't address me, which is odd as I sent back one of his main courses! I wasn't sure what o order instead to be accurate with portuguese cuisine... I was afraid but I asked for Lamb Shops.... WOWW absolutely delicious ? be open minded, they're starting... it will.be.fine!!!
Wonderful new tapas style restaurant featuring Portuguese, Guatemalan and Spanish flavors. When my husband said our reservation was outside I was concerned but they have huge heaters by each table out there and the temperature was so comfortable I was able to take off my sweater. Friendly staff, from the young lady at the bar that welcomed us, to our server and the owners that walked around and said hello. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and patient with our questions since it was our first time there. She recommended the São Paulo drink after I told her some of the drinks I typically enjoy and it was AMAZING!!! All of the food was DELICIOUS, not salty but very flavorful. Would highly recommend.
AMAZING. That’s all you gotta know. Food is great, 10/10. Cocktails also great. Staff is super accommodating and friendly too!
