Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The wait staff were outstanding and very personable. My husband had the stewed chicken arepa with everything. The chicken was so savory, it was delicious. I had the black bean arepa with everything. The plate was balanced so well with the savory beans and the sweet plantains. I cleaned my plate (don't often do that). Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and the waiter is always ready to recommend something new to try. All the meats are wonderfully seasoned, food is exceptionally fresh, and the arepas and cachapas are so good. Well appointed dining room with cool WWII posters on the wall in the bar.
This was my first time having Venezuelan food and I can't wait to go back. Everything we ordered was delicious and you can tell it is homemade. We got takeout on this visit because the dining room wasn't open yet, but our next visit will be in house. The man helping us at the counter could not have been any more helpful. He explained what some of the items were and made recommendations based on what we said we liked. We will be back!
Just returned from our 1st visit to this fine restaurant. The décor is enchanting, our wait person was charming and gracious. Last ,but not least, the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be making a return visit to La Arepa!
Best Arepas I've had so far (I've had the steak, chicken and Pork). The prices are fair and the staff are genuinely nice people.
La Arepa has been a go to restaurant of mine since at least 2017. The portions are perfectly sized, and the food is to DIE for. Attentive, and kind staff whether you're eating in or taking out. It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to watch this incredible business grow into the beautiful next door location. Plus it always warms my heart to support a women's owned business!
A discovery! On my daughter’s list of places to try. An alluring menu with an unusual variety of vegetarian choices. But I felt like a burger today, and it was a good one.
The food was good and very tasty! But the staff was very stiff not good service overall. Never mind the disposable plates!!! Is pretty much a take out place ...
Delicious! The shrimp arepa was amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back!
Went there because I was craving Venezuelan arepas and a plate of rice with beans, but left feeling ripped off. Appetizers and 2 cans of diet coke came 30mins late. Not to mention they charge $3 for canned soda which doesn’t even have refills. The rice was one of worst rice I’ve ever had in a Hispanic restaurant. It tasted like flavorless, instant microwaveable rice (my nearest Chinese restaurant does it way better). The black beans, shredded chicken, plantains, and plain arepa were good, but they skimped on the cheese. The beef and chicken in the empanadas tasted like Taco Bell meat, but the corn dough was delicious. All plates, cups and utensils are plastic. Lastly, beware as they charge extra for paying with card, so pay attention to your receipt. The server told me that “most places do it, but they don’t tell you” which is a lie and would be illegal to do so. So if you pay with cash make sure they give you the discount. If I ever return I’ll just order arepas to go or find another Venezuelan restaurant instead.
