From out of town. This place is literally amazing. My southern heart is happy. Brisket was very tender and juicy. Service was great. Will be back when visiting Newport.
Stopped in here for a quick drink and some appetizers. They had a house Old fashioned that was amazing. The Cajun hush puppies and the pork belly tots were delicious. Glad we stopped in for a little break during our day exploring the wharf and Thames street.
Waste of time and money. Service was extremely slow, and I would even let that slide bc I know there is a problem with staffing everywhere these days so I try to be understanding. But we were honestly ready to walk out. Waited at least 20 mins for someone to even acknowledge us. Waitress was pleasant once she finally got to us. I would have let that all go but I didn’t even enjoy my drink. Food didn’t take too long to come out but god it was terrible. Over smoked wings and chowder. Salads with minimal dressing and toppings. On a positive note, The grilled chicken that I added to my salad was decent and the restaurant has a cute rustic motif. Sorry to say it was not for us.
The crab dip is heaven. Service was great!Me and my husband made reservations after we got married! The waiter surprised us with complimentary glasses of wine (great tasting wine!). That was a nice touch. Our food was delicious and the place had a great atmosphere. Would gladly visit again!
Great server Cecilia. Knew the menu and made wonderful recommendations. All four meals were great. Chicken and waffles were a hit but ask for the hot sauce on the side. Shrimp and grits were also a hit.
We had both great service and food here on a weeknight especially from our server, Bliss. Mentioned we wanted to split two items and she brought them out separately for us! Really nice attention to detail and recommendations for food. Fish and chips was a clear winner!
Best fried pickles I’ve ever had… (and I’ve had fried pickles everywhere they can be found lol). Great signature cocktails as well! Highly recommend:)
Didn't live upto my expectations wrt food quality. The lobster roll seemed a little dry, specially the coleslaw. But my friend took fish and chips, and that was pretty good. The only drawback is that this place has no ocean view and seemed a little stuffy. But it was around $8-10 cheaper than ocean facing pubs and eateries. But the service was pretty quick, and the staff was very cordial.
We ate at The Wharf this past weekend and everything was great. The food was delicious - definitely try the hush puppies - they are amazing! Our waitress Thursday night was so friendly and attentive. We even ended up grabbing a few apps to go another day during our trip for a late lunch and things were just as great. They were out of one of the apps and they called us right away to apologize/see if we wanted something else (we ordered online) - all around super professional about it. For the inconvenience they threw in a banana pudding that was delicious! Will definitely return on our next trip to Newport!
The Warf Pub: Southern Kitchen is a little establishment with good craft beer and better food. The staff is courteous and diligent. Don’t expect to seat a large party at the last minute, but great for intimate conversation and great southern cooking. These wings were spicy and Smokey. 9/10 but really 5 stars all day long.
