We went for a late night dinner. The place was jumping! We sat outside with a beautiful view of the harbor watching the sun set. Unfortunately once the sun set it was so dark you could barely see your table or the food that was served. The drinks were warm (champagne and martini) the music was so loud where we were seated we had to yell to have a conversation The food was delicious, but lacked variety on the menu. The service was mediocre, not enough staff they did the best they could. All in all a decent experience, but probably wouldnât go back with so many great choices
Had reservations for our anniversary on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy. It seemed like they did not have enough waitstaff. We were seated and our waitress disappeared/either too busy or forgot about us but we were able to flag down another server who took over and helped us put in our dinner order. Food was great and beautiful outside view.
Mediocre food, with even worse service, and a âcall it inâ atmosphere.
Food was okâ¦portions were very smallâ¦and, overpriced. Didnât even have breadâ¦they ran out.
Gift for an anniversary
Birthday dinner for my wife. They knew but did nothing to acknowledge, a great restaurant would have done something special! Service and food was wonderful. Glass of wine a tad pricey at $18. Would go again.
I used to love this place- mostly for the location. Food and drinks are now way over priced and my personal opinion is the food is only average. Service is fine - location is pretty. As a Newporter, I know there are many other places you can get a more reasonably priced meal with much better quality. Try Bouchard. Itâs actually less expensive and the food is always top notch.
Noisy because the metal chairs scrape the floor. Limited menu. Poor wine by the glass selection. Food was actually pretty good. Not in a hurry to return.
