Stayed at an Airbnb above the Fastnet for the weekend and it was so fun to pop in and grab a cocktail before events and then end the night there! Great hospitality
Stopped in for breakfast and returned for some great music that evening. Best atmosphere in Newport. Large seating area in the bar, and an even larger outside seating area. I recommend stopping by for food and Irish drinks.
Average Irish pub. My main complaint is that, after being there all night buying drinks, I asked for a cup of water and was told I had to buy a bottle of water. Kinda scummy if you ask me. Bummer that they'd treat people this way. I guess I just expected a "local classic" to have a little more class than this.
Good selection of beer - food is all pub fare - burgers and fried items. Like all places now - they are understaffed.
Great Sports bar with about a half dozen tv's. Saw the Celtics beat the world champion Bucks in Game 7 there. They had all the windows open which kept the air fresh so we were not worried about getting covid. The friendly wait staff is responsive but not pushy which made watching the game much more comfortable.
Great selection of beers on tap. Has pool tables inside and also on the outdoor open patio. The patio is very spacious since the inside can be a bit tight at times.
Drinks at a price that isn't steep. Bartenders ready to refill your drinks on repeat. Customer service makes you feel like your at a retreat... Don't forget to try that Sex On A Beach!! Dont put your minds in the gutter that's a name of a great specialty mixed drink. This is a Must visit kind of place.
I went to this bar at my bachelorette party and had a fantastic time. The next time I came back into town I stopped here with my cousins and had a few rounds. Unfortunately, when we went to get some water after closing out we were told that it was two dollars. What?. I am 30 years old and I have yet to ever come across a bar that would charge for water when you’re feeling like you need a little hydration. Such a bummer. Sounds fundamental
Calm under pressure. This place was so busy during the Newport parade. The harder it rained, the busier it got. Kuddos to the bar staff for keeping up !!! Great job.
