A unique Starbucks experience for sure! Speedy and friendly service too. When I was a manager at Starbucks, I read back peoples orders for when they often change their minds on small details like size or milk type. They didn’t do that here when I was on the fence about a change in size for ~50 cents. More a fault of my indecisiveness, but still a nice to have practice.
Besides #Starbucks being my landmark anywhere in the world?, I love my #matchalatte, and i love to drop in a word or two when i am out of my hometown. I love the location of this one Thames St in Newport, RI. I like it when they are housed in old buildings where u never think it would be. Pretty cute, for lack of a better word, when they are, i think. The staff here were nice. And besides getting my name wrong altogether, which i found to be so amusing, my Thames experience was par for the course - matcha latte gotten right?. Got my fix for the day?

All I can say is if you DO NOT LIKE People or dealing with the public you should NOT work retail. The person heating up the items was SO RUDE, CRUDE & OBNOXIOUS!! Rolling there eyes when questioned as wewere patiently waiting. Honestly wish I caught the name so I could of reported to management or higher. One bad heater/barista should not spoil it for the others. Hope you have better days!!
Gave this rating solely for some reason the restroom was closed. It is unbelievable that in a place that serves food and drink that there should not be a restroom available
So unorganized. They need to figure out what they are doing. They close unexpectedly if one person calls out! Not like any other Starbucks we have ever been to. The “manager” does not seem to know how to run the place. Needs seriously restructuring. We expected much better for Newport!
The atmosphere inside is vintage and eclectic. There is a quaint sitting area on the second floor. The staff here is generally friendly and works very hard and making sure the orders are correct.
We were kicked out because they were closing at 5pm on a Saturday. Maybe covid related help shortages. Their menu choices are still confusing.
Good experience, but can you guys please be consistent with the hours? One day you’re only open til 12, the next week ‘till 4pm, then back to 1pm. It’s confusing.
They don’t answer the phone! All I wanted was a Starbucks mug and the store looks like it is open but it’s nor.
