Good was delicious and views were amazing! After dinner we had one more drink down on the Adirondack chairs and watched the sunset

All 4 entrees we had were sub par. Swordfish was overwhelmingly spicy. Couldn't taste anything other flavors or fish. Filet had too much sauce that ruined the flavor of the expensive meat. Lobster roll not enough mayo - ie too dry. Mexican flatbread had too many flavors, and in the end nothing stuff out and it didn't taste good. Didn't want to finish it. Smore dessert had what looked like fluff not marshmallow. Lemon sorbet had icy texture (not creamy) and tasted more like vanilla than lemon. Cerviche starter was amazing though. Maybe because I new chef arrived this week? Even passion cocktail was small, and didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it, for $15. After finishing that, I asked for a local beer and server didn't know the kinds they were serving, nor bring back the drink menu for me to look. She just brought one of them to me. First few sips tasted soapy, like glasses were just washed. OpenTable reservation - I set up for 4 people but restaurant recorded 6 instead, so I had to call back to correct. Asked 4 times (messaging, calling, etc- in advance plus when we got there) if there was anything special they could do for our 20th anniversary (on the same day). They acknowledged that it was our anniversary, but nothing was done. No complimentary glad of Champaign, or dessert, or even a script writing in chocolate - nothing. And it wasn't very busy. Surprising that even a small thing couldn't be done, as we ended up paying over $350 for 4 people. Service was really good. But whoever set the table put the drink menu vertical and it fell into water glass, making a mess of the table. Next time lay it flat. We just loved the setting, but likely won't be back again for food. Maybe drinks.

Lovely open air setting with views of bay , Jamestown and Newport Bridge. Casual atmosphere. My scallops were. tasty but only 4 of them for 38.00. And they were not that big. Service was prompt. Enjoyed sunset from Adirondack chairs on lawn.

We had the worst meal and service. Do not go here! Go anywhere else. I don't want to list every thing that was awful, because it was a lot. Do not waste your money. I will never go here again. Awful beyond repair.

The location looking over the bay is beautiful! Our server Julia was wonderful and shout out to all the hardworking staff! Menu is smaller than usual restaurants but enough choices for everyone.

Go for drinks and enjoy the view. Food was okay but nothing special. Service was great!

This was a special occasion dinner with three generations of family. I chose the Safari Room due to its location and reputation. When we arrived there was a wedding taking place on the lawn. Our waitress promptly told us we should quickly order as the chefs were short staffed and the wedding party would be priority. Honestly, this place is better suited as a venue destination rather than for individual dining.

this place is so special to me. I love this spot and will continue to come here for years to come.

1 Nobody at valet. Waited a few minutes. Turns out the one guy working was parking another car. That is not a one man job. Not his fault by any means. 2 We got drinks at the bar before our reservations. The bar didn't have ginger beer for the cocktails we wanted. Waited 15 minutes for them to make something else. 3 The ceviche was super watery, and kind of light on tuna heavy on tomatoes 4 My wife ordered an aperol spritz, there was maybe a drop of aperol and had to ask more to add to her drink. 5 My wife ordered the filet mignon was the craziest shap filet I've ever seen she ordered medium and came our very rare. To the point where if I ordered a mid rare steak I’d still send it back. To be fair the wait staff allowed her to get another meal, lobster roll. 6 If one, maybe two of these things happened I wouldn’t mind so much. But it was just the culmination of one mistake after another which leads me to write this.

Service was extremely slow, no olives anywhere for the martinis that we ordered. Second choice for martinis were onions, waitress came back...no onions either, no Absolute Vodka!! My husband and I both ordered swordfish, it was over cooked and very, very thin, not the typical piece of swordfish. Also, it was a warm night, we asked if it was possible to unzip one of the plastic drops for air circulation, we were told it wasn't possible, that a maintenance man would have to take care of it, he never did! The highlight of the night were the valet parking attendants, who greeted us warmly and were very professional. There was a wedding that night. I'm sure it was not the first at this venue. Perhaps you should close the restaurant when there is a wedding because it was obvious that you could not handle both. We've been here many times before, however, this was by far the worse experience yet.
