Great place for live music to dance... til the super young crowd comes in and stands on the dance floor and don't dance.
After attending blues all the time for the past 6+ months I will NEVER be attending an establishment with such an awful, rude, and NON welcoming bouncer again. I was told his name was “Jared”…Thought it would be a fun night starting off strong with blues for halloweek but the bouncer that you guys had working killed the entire vibe. Did not even go in and celebrate. I would hope you would want kinder better workers not only for your own businesses sake but for your own reputation as a popular place in Newport to go out and have FUN… but your bouncer made it the exact opposite of fun…I will be telling all of my friends and anyone I know to NEVER go to blues bevause I would never want my own money funding a place that has such a VIBEEEE KILL before even entering the building.
Would’ve loved to come here, as my roommate and I bought tickets for an event in August, but when we showed up well after they opened, they were closed with no warning or explanation anywhere. When we attempted to contact them multiple times about either transferring tickets for another event, or simply getting a refund for an event that never happened - they never followed through. When we finally got a hold of someone, nothing happened. Kept briefly following up and we got ignored. It’s about the principle of the situation, and I hate to leave a bad review - but this is just downright sketchy :/

Great blues cafe in Newport
Beacon Street Band had an incredibly fun time performing here! The staff was friendly and helpful and the crowd was so fun. Can’t wait to come back July third!
Always best live music shows in the town
I ordered two shots of vodka and the waitress filled each shot glass halfway and charge me $18. Other than that the place was pretty nice. But I would at least expect to get two full shots for $18.
Awesome venue, extremely friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, and AMAZING entertainment. I went the day that the mask ban was lifted and had a crazy good time.
