While the interior of this coffeehouse is super cute and smells delicious, there is no place to sit inside so on a chilly, windy day your hot coffee becomes lukewarm quickly. We had chocolate croissant, ham and cheese stuffed croissant and blueberry muffin. The sandwich was the best, the muffin was average and the chocolate croissant didn’t have a lot of chocolate and the pastry was a little on the dense side. The coffees were good, even if choked quickly but the hot chocolate started warm at best. There is an indoor space used only for storage, but if the coffeehouse ever turned that into seating, the experience would be greatly improved!
Unfortunately, I had most unpleasant experience this morning. The barista was extremely rude, as well many rules to follow within the shop ( No Laptops, no wifi , no restrooms, etc.) For such a small coffee shop you think it would be more friendly and inviting. Would like to continue to support local coffee shops, but would not return to Mokka Coffeehouse.
Loved this little hole in the wall coffee shop. Great service. Delicious coffee. And it's a quaint set up. I would go back (probably in the summer- no indoor seating). Check this place out!
The first place we have to visit when we go to Newport. Great coffee, baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Staff is friendly and fun. The best is their outdoor patio to enjoy your goodies. It is a one of a kind.
What a fun place to get a specialty coffee, breakfast, snack or lunch. My dogs were able to go in with me and get a goodie too.
Cute coffee shop but way too many rules…and the girl taking my order was rude…I asked for a macchiato…then I asked if I could add a flavor and whipped cream…she had such an attitude and told me they are a traditional coffee shop…and that Starbucks macchiato is not really a macchiato, it’s a latte….so bottom line, do they really want your business?By the way, it is a holiday and tons of people in Newport today…this place had 3 customers! Not surprised!!!
This is indeed a place with servers who have a BAD ATTITUDE! In their minds “The CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG”. They justify all their mistakes by making excuses with an authoritarian attitude and seem to work hard to embarrass the customer. I’m once and done. Never go there again!!! Too many other nice welcoming places that want my business.

If I could leave no stars I would. Terrible customer service, 0 hospitality towards guests. Owner was very dismissive; what a disgrace! Coffee was ok but they don’t yell at you at Starbucks. No phone, no lab top, no being a human being in 2021.
