Vibrant bar scene.Indoor & outdoor dining . Cherrystones and little necks were fresh . All the following were excellent, Lobster Roll ,Sea Scallops and Pork Chops . Service was top notch ,even with a new trainee. Charlie ( GM) came by to be sure all was excellent. Parking lot behind restaurant $25 .

The $45 filet mignon was very disappointing- tough and grainy. Management said it was due to the cut of the meat - bull crap. Worst filet I’ve ever had. Management also had no interest in offering any discount or compensation of any type. Definitely not a place to which we would return.

We were early so went upstairs to the bar. Bartender was very friendly, and had great recommendations. At our reservation time, we went downstairs, I had blackened fish with mange salsa. Not spicy at all and very fresh! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and it was absolutely worth it. We sat outside at the terrace and enjoyed the fresh air and outdoors. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and the food was absolutely fantastic. For appetizers my husband got oysters and I got the tuna tartare that was super yummy. As a main dish I got a lobster roll and my husband got the clams, and we both got key lime pie for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious, one of the best dinners of our trip.

The Midtown Oyster Bar came well recommended so I arrived with high expectations. Walked in to a very crowded lower level. We had made reservations so we were seated promptly upstairs in a pleasant casual dining room. (If stairs are an issue, this might be a consideration). The server was friendly and professional. Started off with calamari appetizer, lightly breaded and very good. We both ordered the lobster roll, which came with French fries. The lobster roll was served on the traditional roll, in butter. I have had better in Newport for the same price. The fries were heavily seasoned, probably salted, and overpowered the taste. So much so that I was thirsty all night. Prices are comparable to other area restaurants, not inexpensive. Parking is either in a paid lot or on the street.

Great food and great service

Stopped in for a drink in the afternoon. Bar is very nice and well stocked with everything. Did not eat but looked at the menu and it looked great. We will definitely stop again when back in town.

Good food and great service!

Planning dinner with friends when the PC Friars are in the Big Dance can be tough, but the bar noise was well filtered from the dining room. Two of us had the seafood Shepard’s pie, the other had salad with very good tuna. The Shepard pie was excellent, but small, so all had dessert: Key Lime Tart (listed as pie), Dark and Stormy bread pudding, and a bowl,of berries (not on the menu but made available). Service was very good, food was, too.

Lobster roll was very small and not tasty compare to other places that i have been in Newport. The waitress was very nice, but this review goes over the quality of food.
