I really love their ice cream but I don't like their plastic bowls and forks, especially knowing that these plastic items do not get recycled and sometimes end up in the ocean. It would be easy enough to swap out the spoons with wooden spoons and the bowl is already edible but if you have to put it in a bowl why not paper or wax paper.
I both my wife and I had the cappuccino and chocolate chip ice cream. I went for the waffle bowl while my wife just got the cup. We both had just 1 scope of ice cream. And that came out to be $17. The ice cream was very yummy, but the scope was very small. I find it a bit pricy for what we got, which is why I am give 4 instead of 5.
Good ice cream unique flavors along with classics. Many other sweets a sugar heaven there and smells so good in store.
The instant you step inside you smell everything you can possibly wish to have. Fresh waffle cone making right to left and just chocolate heaven in front of you. A bunch of chocolate choices and i e cream options closer to the back. Very yummy. Definitely recommend. And very nice people who work here!
The smells as they hit your nose will put you into another world. The fresh waffle cones were phenonemal and the salted caramel ice cream was pure heaven. Also tried the salted caramel candies, caramel apple, caramel chocolate pretzel, and chocolate cherries. My family loved the cherries and everything was pure decidence. Would recommend. Prepare for a line!
Coconut chocolate chip is out of this world! Though so are the prices. It's a good splurge but not a regular place at $6/piece. No kiddie sizes/prices unfortunately. Nor do they offer a military or locals discount. Bummer. But still tastes great.
Fruit sorbet available for those needeing a vegan treat and cups available for those with gluten allergies. The chocolates were decadent and soo tempting. Dark chocolate available
I love Kilwin’s! Always helpful, always friendly, and the ice cream is always good! I always get ice cream and also buy some dark chocolate sea salt turtles.
The Kilwin’s fudge tracks and s’mores flavors are fantastic. Not overly sweet, with the right amount of goodies. Although it’s a bit pricey, I felt that it was worth it.
Love this lovely ice cream and chocolate shop. All the sweets are made fresh on premise. The ice cream is the real deal ice cream made with cream and not watered down. The store itself smells heavenly. Only downside was we went when the weather wasn't great outside and there wasn't a place to eat the ice cream inside. Highly recommend if you are in downtown Newport.
