Service was great, food was good. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The calamari was good and also a good portion. Lobster rolls were good but might ask for a side of extra butter, Cole slaw was pretty good. Pulled pork pizza was good. Lobster bisque wasn't bad just didn't have a lot of flavor to it. Lastly Mac and cheese wasn't bad but nothing to cry home about. I gave it 5 stars because the service and everything was great. Would recommend going and would come back if I'm.back up in this area. The beer was also good here.

I visited this place with my family, ordered food, couldn't eat anything, paid $100 and left. The burgers are fast-food style, greasy patties, most certainly frozen processed meat with restaurant price tag. The lobster was "market price", $50, certainly was not fresh. Couldn't chew it. Same for the steak. Most likely, this place is taken over by someone remote, marketing the location and the name, with frozen/processed food.Just look at the pictures. Broccoli was just steamed/boiled, with no flavors, all colors. The bear was good.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. From their spicy clam chowder to a chilled lobster roll. Their seafood options are great. Also offer I wide variety of other foods on the menu. At this point I think I have tried at least almost everything on the menu throughout the years and there isn't one thing I wouldn't recommend. Great spot and great service.

We visit Newport several times per year and have been coming for about ten years and this is our favorite place for a drink and a good meal. The atmosphere is casual and perhaps a bit rustic. There are sports on television and sometimes it is a bit loud. We have always enjoyed the food.

We stopped in for a late lunch today and were very impressed with this establishment. We both loved our meals. My mom got chicken Marsala and I got the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese. I must say, this was the best Buffalo Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. The sauce was perfect and not too spicy. The crumbs on top were good too. It comes with garlic bread and that was also tasty. Our server was friendly. We enjoyed our time and would definitely come back.

I’ve been here many times. I just realized I never reviewed the place. Literally the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Great service and great food and drink. The Gas Lamp is a Thames main stay. Always amazing.

Great drink and food! Plus the waitress was awesome

Great place. Had steak tip salad, med rear, was perfect. Honey ginger dressing was amazing. Friend had lobster BLT, it was fantastic. Atmosphere was on point. And the servers were wonderful and full of smiles!! Thank you for the experience!

The Gas Lamp Grille has a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Cozy place for drinks and dining. The menu has a wide variety to choose from. Everything we ordered was fantastic. We would highly recommend the Spicy Popcorn shrimp, Steak tips and Ribeye. If your want a nice place to hang out, an attentive staff, drink and eat with great prices look no further!
