My son and I really enjoyed our Easter dinner here just a couple of hours ago. I had fresh vongole (clams) in white wine seasoned with the right amount of red pepper flakes, garlic, and herbs served over pasta. And the complimentary Italian bread and dipping sauce was so good! This bread was something I had been missing for quite a while - soft but chewy with a wonderful crust. My son had the Salmon Siciliano and was very happy with the flavors. He's been to Italy (Sicily) and was describing the meals there while chowing down on his salmon. We were also treated to a side dish of vegetables, enough for 2. I'm a slim woman, and my son couldn't believe I ate 3 slices of the bread with dipping sauce as well as every bit of the clams and pasta. I saved one of the slices of bread to soak up the delicious sauce the clams had been cooked in. Very happy dining experience!
We came here and were surprised by the coziness of the atmosphere although the tables are literally on top of each other which made the whole place LOUD and we sometimes had to yell in order to hear each others conversation. The service was really good as the waiter was spot on with timing and delivery of the food. They offered a variety of different pasta dishes all finished differently per the type of pasta being served. I had the 'Bucatini alla Matriciana' which was very nice although it had a bit too much sauce and could have used a bit of black pepper. My husband had the 'Pappardelle alla Bolognese' which looked beautiful but was rather plain in taste. And our buddy had the 'Cotoletta di Pollo all Parmigiana' which also just tasted like something one could make at home. So overall, it is a nice experience but the food does not stand out taste wise and could use some upgrading.
Food was sub par, stuffed mushrooms were soggy, baked scrod was bone dry. Prices do not reflect The food, restaurant use to be top notch, has declined substantially . Will not be returning

A disaster from start to finish. We ordered a variety of entrees and apps. After waiting 30 minutes for soup to be served (choice of soup or salad with entree) we were told “they dropped the pan of soup” and they are making more. We were assured that soup would be served “shortly”. 20 minutes later, same response. Soup was finally served but at room temperature. We were a party of 6 and without clearing soup cups, 3 people were then served entrees. 10 minutes later we are still waiting for 3 additional entrees. (We attempted to find waiter twice but could not locate him.) I then went to find “manager”. Described situation to her and her response centered around “difficulty finding staff, COVID, trying to train young staff……..) but no attempt to go to kitchen/ wait staff for answers or offer a solution. When I returned to the table my entree had been served (but not as ordered) and my husband’s entree had still not arrived. By this time we were there over 90 minutes and totally exasperated. Manager finally came to table (at my insistence) and advised everyone of the difficulties in finding staff, training staff…. We asked for check. Believe it or not they charged for the entree we never received. Another call to waiter; he stated, “I’ll deduct that.” I was so upset, I left a tip, signed the bill, and left. Got home, rechecked the bill and the unserved entree was still on bill as a charge. They are closed today but I’ll have that conversation tomorrow.

Four of us came for dinner, for the first tine. Unfortunately, this will be both first and last time coming here. The service and atmosphere was lively. The food, however, was fair at best. Our friends each got a Caesar salad which they said was good. The Chianti could not be served by the glass so we got a bottle. I personally, thought it was fair. My husband and I didn’t finish our glass. We started with the calamari. It had a heavy breading and tasted fair. The veal parmigiana, was not a big portion, but what made it lousy was the veal was well done and tough. I had the chicken sorrentino. I tasted one very thin slice of eggplant. The chicken was heavily breaded and well done. Our friends got the veal sorrento. Overdone as well and heavy. All in all, dinner was fair at best. Too many wonderful restaurants to return.
My experiences have always been wonderful going to Trattoria. Their food is delicious! I always feel so good after eating. Their drinks are great. Brunch is fantastic, as well as the outdoor vibe! I definitely recommend going!
