I’m not Portuguese but I love this place any way. Everything I’ve tried is awesome and the staff really makes you feel at home. They have great options for people who want something familiar like steak and eggs or something new and a little exotic like their Saturday special of braised rabbit. They served the Portuguese beer with a frozen glass which was an awesome touch.

First: who I assume/believe is the owner is AMAZING she is litrally born to be an amazing host! I have never in my life met someone so comforting personable and makes you feel right at “Home” even though this was our first night there. If I was rating the place on her alone it would be a legit 100 starts out of 5…. You don’t need to read on, I highly recommend this place JUST for her! As for the rest, the ambiance is what it is, I wont sugar coat it, I have been to places in nicer areas and places more comfortable BUT it was still very nice, clean and no complaints at all. The food, the appetizers where amazing, I had the shrimp she had the clams, my GF litrally said the best she has had anywhere. I am not going to lie, I was disappointed at the options for main courses, much of it was the same thing, either bigger apps (with rice and fries) or the same thing with a different side… but that could be said about Mexican restaurant and that is a way to be very profitable. The mains where still good just not as amazing. Yes I 100% know and understand Portuguese and Peruvian food is not the same but, there are a lot of similarities, so I still have my favorite in Providence but this comes close after… but would be back just for the amazing hospitality this place offers.

Such a treat to be back here. Love The bife a casa. Great molho. Sagres beer. Sopa portuguesa and I’m obsessed with the … bread topping. I forget the word for it.It got busy pretty early. We visited on a Friday around 3pm and the whole restaurant was full. Pretty early to be fullUsed to go here a lot as a kid and haven’t been back around in a while. Still great as always. Parking is a little tough when it’s busy but it’s worth it

Since we return once a year when in East Providence, we are warmly welcomed with hugs from the very familiar waitresses. Seems everyone knows everyone else! Food does not disappoint. Large portions served hot. The pork Alentejana is a favorite as is their Bacalhau na Brasa. Portuguese rolls served with a spicy dipping sauce is not to be missed. We'll be back next year!

Isabel the waitress is the true Star Attraction here! She's sassy and sweet. I found it disappointing that all of the classic dishes rabbit, octopus etc are only served on weekends.I had the bacala it was ok a bit dry the boiled potatoes were great. The desert options all consisted of puddings all in all I wasn't blown away by the food. But the charm of the staff was pleasant.

Lunch in East Providence. Octopus and rice cooked in red wine and Portuguese spices. Love this place! I think I was one of the few that couldn't speak Portuguese.

First time we ate here. Waitress was very nice excellent service. The food was good. I had Portuguese Steak the hubby had Quail. He loved it. Flan we had for dessert was good. Only thing I didn't like was the Sangria very strong.

Love their Portuguese style little necks. One of my parents favorite restaurants. Staff is always pleasant. Owner comes out to see us. A must try if you like Portuguese food.

If you love Portuguese food this is the place to go.I've been there several times and the food is out of this world Delicious and reasonable price. I give the cook a10 plus!!
