Good sized portions that won't break your budget. Tasty food. The basket of tortilla chips is served warm with a salsa that has a little kick.5/31/22 another great meal. My friend had pork tacos. I had the appetizer sampler - well, about half of it.
The table was super tacky/sticky from a worn down coating on the surface. The chips were quite good, but the margarita was sub par.My beef burrito was okay however the fish tacos my friend ordered were left practically intact. She said they were too salty.Service was a 6 on a scale to 10.They were nice just lacking in some customary interactions.I probably wouldn't seek to go back, but at least I had the experience.
Flavorful, generous amount. Fast and friendly service. Beer on tap given in large beer mugComplementary chips and salsa.guacamole is great! Got churros and sopapillas for dessert. It was ok but for some reason tasted old or from frozen. Overall everything was good though. It's worth making the stop.
I never ever do this! But if I can give someone an insight on a restaurant let me just tell you. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! such a disappointment 1.virgin margaritas 2. Ordered mixed fajitas, got chicken 3. Ordered carne asada came out colder than Alaska in December + never gave me my " Mexican coleslaw" 4. Waiter is arguing with chick on the side of me on prices of margaritas. 5. Queso literally tasted burnt.. like been sitting there forever, like I said I never leave a bad review as I work in the food industry myself, but if I could I would give this place a negative review. this place is god awful please do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere PLEASE ?
Went to this place to try it out,. It is Amex Tex food not authentic Mexican food. Tortillas are not hand made but heated. We ordered tacos and they gave us hard shell tacos rather than authentic ones. The portions were large but the food lacked authentic Mexican seasoning. The complementary chips with the salsa were ok and their Orchatas were on point. For the $$ we pod I was I satisfied with the food. Will not be returning.
food came out fast. food was hot. 9/10
I heard they returned to Cranston and I was excited to stop by. I have been here a few times for takeout and needed to try dining in. Overall the experience was wonderful from the waiters to the chefs. We had a great experience. All the food was really fresh. I could taste it in their ingredients because nothing felt watery, dry, or over salted to preserve the food’s freshness. We ordered the horchata (highly recommended and the taste is still the same), the hibiscus tea, torta de carnita, and asada quesadilla. The torta de carnita is a dish you need to try. The bread is so buttery and acts like a pillow to the pork loin.
I love it here although it does not compare to the original location in NK. The ensalada jalisco is my favorite. Margaritas are delicious and everyone is friendly :) My go to for Mexican.
So glad they returned to Cranston, we missed you! The food is amazing and authentic, reminds me of home cooked meals back in Southern CA. Portion size is super plentiful, with all the added "fixings" you would want, including delicious salsas, tomatillo sauce, and the Best Guacamole and Tortilla Chips on the East Coast. Clean space, not as decorative and homey as the prior space on Atwood Ave, but that doesn't detract from the delicious food. Only have two not-so-great comments: 1. the Spinach Quesadilla was completely soggy and congealed, sitting in a puddle of grease, sorry to say it was basically inedible, thinking the spinach was not strained or was not prepared well; 2. the young man at the checkout counter has an awful attitude and could not care less that a customer just spent $100+ at his restaurant, zero customer service ability and extremely rude, not sure if he is family or related to the owners but he is definitely a reason I would not return.
Confusing large menu. Expensive for mediocre food. The hostess who sat us down tonight was so rude!!! Young kid with a rat tail. Will not be returning because of his poor attitude. Asked if we could sit at a table to the right and he kept ignoring us, so instead placed us at a table in the corner with 4 extra seats. No one spoke English here. Impossible to communicate unless you speak Spanish.
