Finally had a chance to try Roost. Super casual, with awesome food and service. Great tater tots. Can’t wait to return!

We unknowingly visited Roost during their grand re-opening. The place was full, and Bree, the General Manager and only server that day, was in complete control, and elevated the atmosphere with her friendly, fun, expert demeanor. The interior was bright, and its eclectic charm created a positive, fun brunch vibe. The food was unique, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Treehugger Omelette with hash browns, and a lavender iced coffee. I would recommend both! The table ordered cinnamon buns and hush puppies to share, and both were delectable.

It’s hard to stand out in town around all the fancier restaurants and taprooms in the restaurant row area of York, but the Roost definitely does. It’s small and quaint. Serves only breakfast and lunch, but the food is very good. The service quick and courteous. I would highly recommend them.

I searched on TripAdvisor and found this restaurant quite appealing. We went in and from the moment we met our waitress we knew we were going to have a great meal. The Flower Pot is one of the top 5 best breakfasts I have ever had. I do love my sausage gravy, but having mushroom gravy is a total game changer. The berry biscuit- devine! If we lived closer this would absolutely be our breakfast of choice. Thank you for your kindness and your culinary skills!

What is being done here we'll blow your mind it's like a mix between Caribbean & southern meets in a small town in France ??

My husband and I went to Roost for the first time today and had brunch. We both work in the service industry and were completely exhausted from the long work weekend. It was Valentines Day ALL WEEKEND and it was bananas. We needed a break. First of all, the food at Roost far exceeded our expectations. Every dish was delicious. We had the garbage biscuit, oatmeal raisin waffle, salad, more biscuit, hash browns, and freshly brewed coffee. I would try anything on the menu based on this experience. Then there was the staff. Juan was our server and he was amazing! He was knowledgeable and attentive. He gave us great recommendations and has a delightful disposition. He made us feel right at home. Thank you to the entire staff for providing a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!

Wow - what a find .... the owner and chef pays a lot of attention to detail.... Hand made jams , meats that are smoked in-house, super fresh ingredients .. Highly recommend .. Biscuits and waffles made from scratch the good old fashioned way.... Great Philly cheese steak...

Met a friend here for a Sunday 1230 lunch. Only street parking and there is little of it. Parked 3 blocks away. Staff very friendly and attentive, but not too much, nor did they rush us along. Not a terribly big place. Nice menu, breakfast items and sandwiches. My friend had the chicken sandwich and the rocket salad (arugala and a light oil dressing) which she liked. I had the veggie omelette and that was very good.

Lets start with what really matters, the coffee is great...a requirement for me. We tried ROOST looking for something different than the typical York choices. Was not disappointed. I had the brisket and eggs (I am pretty simple and would recommend the omelette or burrito for others). My son had the Lox benedict and loved it. His friends the breakfast burrito and also loved it. I will have the Huevos Rancheros next time.
