This place can get really pricey but it’s worth it. The food and service were amazing. The server was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and all of the wines and drinks. She was attentive but not overbearing and annoying. They were also able to make many things to accommodate my wife’s gluten allergy. She hadn’t had calamari in probably 7 years since her diagnosis and they made amazing calamari with rice flour that was gluten free. This is a great place.
The quality has diminished over the years, once a go to place for fine dining but now our loyalty to this restaurant has sadly come to an end. The limited choices on the menu was met by excuses from the waiter who clearly showed an inconsistent demeanor towards us versus other patrons yet we still gave him a 25% gratuity. The highlight of my birthday dinner was a very pleasant glass of Cabernet Merlo mix & a great conversation with a couple adjacent to us. I hate to say this but I would've gotten a more satisfying meal from the Texas Roadhouse as my $32 strip loin was tasteless as tasteless can be that was followed by a cold tomato basil soup that the waiter FAILED to tell us prior to ordering. I truly hope the hostess, the most professional of all the staff, & waiter informed the owner as to our unpleasant experience.Words of wisdom to the two female servers wearing the yoga pants exposing the distinct curvature of your lower half, it's not only unprofessional but an insult to the patrons who bring the dates while you bend over like it's a strip club serving the table next to us, I was truly disgusted. This was sadly our last visit & we'll explore a new fine dining restaurant elsewhere.
From start to finish our experience was top notch! I had the Grilled Caesar Salad with the crispy chicken. We tried all the deserts, loved them all but the Lemon was the best! We highly recommend this restaurant. Loved the outdoor dining as well! Superior service - so friendly too!Oh wait for the choice of your personal knife you’re offered for dinner ?
This has always been one of our favorite places! Food, service and atmosphere were spot on! A must try is there banana pepper flash fried calamari and grilled caesar salad… Amazing!
The experience was ok, nothing spectacular or special which you might expect from this place. The wine menu has grown and somewhat impressive. I would not recommend the calamari, the quality and sauce is good the preparation not successful. The grilled broccoli was seasoned nicely although slightly under cooked. Wait staff was all very nice and helpful. Much of the food around appeared great, yet this experience was just fair. Not really certain that I saw anything here to entice me to come back given the expectation and value delivered.
York has a lot of high end restaurants, but this is definitely at the top of the list! The food, and cocktail, was phenomenal, as was the service, and the restaurant it self, was very chic! Can’t wait to visit again!
MY FAVORITE HIGH END RESTAURANT IN YORK COUNTY hands down. Their food is just amazing. When going to a high end restaurant, I’m expecting the restaurant and cook to offer me the ambience, outstanding food and service we as customers are expecting and paying for, the Left Bank has yet to fail me. It’s a big deal for me when I go, it’s either for a birthday or a special occasion. I know I’m not going to be disappointed. I’ve been going there for years for my special days. Thank you The Left Bank, for giving me some great memories and some really awesome tasting food. You truly are my favorite high end restaurant in York County.
It was definitely one of the best dining experiences that I’ve had in a very very long time. As being someone that work in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years I never went out for amateur hour lol but this place went above and beyond with amazing service and quality of cuisine. It shows that they take a lot of pride in what they do and I’m glad I got to share that experience with them. Thank you for making it wonderful. Summer you were awesome and to the chefs, cheers to you ?
Rude. Unorganized. Not a fine dining experience or menu. Low quality ingredients and high prices. They'll seat people off the streets before those with a reservation and then give you the worst table in the restaurant. Go to Lancaster if you want the white tablecloth experience and treatment, Josephine's, Belvedere, or Amorette, you'll pay about the same for better food and service..
We ate here during restaurant week and did the prix fix dinner for $50. I ordered the calamari, shad and creme brulee. My husband ordered the gnocchi, duck and brownie dessert. Aside from the calamari and the gnocchi the food was bland and underseasoned. The duck was tough, the greens served on the side were bitter and the potatoes were undercooked. The brownie with ice cream was frozen and what I can only assume was supposed to be whip cream along side the creme brulee was tasteless. We have always enjoyed eating here but the last several times we have eaten here have not been good. There are other better options in York for way less than $150. We won't be back.
