I arrived before my friends. We had no reservations so I made one with the hostess when I arrived. I was surprised to see how crowded the bar was at 5pm on a Tuesday evening. I took the last seat.The bartender was friendly and efficient. The wait staff was also friendly and very accommodating.The food was okay but portions were small. Both drinks and food were reasonably priced.The bar felt more like a hang out for the locals which is fine.There just isn't anything about the place that would tempt me to return.
Cute little spot, looks like a small-town fancy restaurant.The food was absolutely delicious, and the chefs menu inspiration was unique enough to stand out.The wild moose was of course a fun novelty, paired with pickled beets and mustard seeds.The potato bravas were incredible, just the right amount of pungent accoutrements to spice up an otherwise one dimensional dish.The lobster fingers were hot and crispy, the batter was not thick, almost tempura texture.The burger had a great char, and the foei Gras mayo was very strong, they didn't skimp on the expensive ingredients.The donut holes were clearly fresh from the feyer and every one of the dipping sauces were uniquely delicious.Excellent beer selection including a Tripel.The cocktails were strong and still balanced.Brenna was attentive despite it being busy. Service was top notch.
We had a wedding reception in a private room at this particular restaurant. A number of us, including myself, were a little hesitant with some of the strange option, but were surprisingly satisfied with our options. I can personally say that the salmon was very delicious! I would recommend this place.
We hosted a party upstairs and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The events manager was one of the most responsive I have worked with and followed up on all open items prior to the event. They allowed us to bring in our own champagne for a corkage fee and we were able to bring in a bakery cake for the event. Tyler was our server and did a great job keeping up with our guests and even helped us bring in some of the supplies from my car! The food was fantastic as always. The room upstairs was gorgeous...it did get a bit hot but was manageable.
The drinks menu is unique with perfectly paired options for everyone, the food pairing was interesting but complimented each other atmosphere is welcoming but also intimate enough to hold a conversation, the only downfall the seating we had was a bit drafty. They tried to accommodate us but was very busy night so we were limited on seating choices. The food is excellent and the dessert, a salted carmel cheesecake, mmmmm so tasty
Love this place. Went to regularly when I lived in York. Was in York for Christmas and just as warm and friendly as it ever was. Stuck to my old favorite of burger medium rare with salad plus of course wine. Next time I will try one of the other wonderful items on the menu. So much worth trying

We had an 87th birthday party for my dad. We had the room upstairs. The food was great. The staff was great - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They are a testament to why we should support our local establishments!
