It was exactly what you would expect from LJS. Oily fast food seafood for a reasonable price. It tastes good but not great. I didn't want my previous experiences to affect my rating, but I do think it deserves mention: the two prior visits were not good. On our first attempt to go there the store was closed, and on the second attempt we were told that the store was sold out of all LJS food (it's a LJS/KFC combo store). I hope that info was helpful.
Went there last night. Dining room closed. Drive thru the only option. The fish was hard and dry. The hush puppies were like rocks and the insides were dry. The food must have been sitting around for hours. Won't ever go back.
Terrible. I live near this location. Everytime I come here and try to order from the Long John silver side it’s always something Wrong! “Our fryer is down”, “ we close in 20 min so we are out of long johns”,” we are short staff, sorry for the 15 min wait” EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES. The store have a nerve to have a sign up about be nice to staff. The most ghetto, unprofessional, non serving, long wait terrible place I ever been. They need to shut down and re train and the management team need to give the establishment what they need to serve the customers. I won’t be back and I’m getting in contact with FDA, BBB and corporate. SHUT THE STORE DOWN!
Everything we ordered they did not have enough to give us! It is also a KFC. We ended up with 16 pieces of chicken and 8 chicken strips. We got 6 large sides and biscuits with our order.our bill was $75.00. Not worth the money!!!!
No cocktail sauce !!!, how can a seafood place run out of cocktail sauce. How can you eat fried shrimp without cocktail sauce!!!! Food was great but, NO COCKTAIL SAUCE.
Took forever to order and get my food and the attitudes were terrible. There was one nice guy who handed us our food out and was running around, the rest were standing around doing nothing.
Extremely rude staff. Never has enough chicken available for family meals.
I've been to some really crappy places that this location doesn't even come up to their level. The automated drive-thru answering que say's that after listening to their up sell you may begin your order. As I listened and did not want what they were trying to get me to try I started with my order to be rudely told to "hang on". It seemed as though it was forever until someone came back to take my order was I then able to speak what I wanted. All I got was that's $$.$$, no thank you, pull around or anything. Once at the window I was greeted by another person, voice different than the order taker, and I was told my order was $$$.$$, when I asked why it was that much she said that I ordered two extra sides and both my wife and I said at the same time, for $$$.$$, and the person looked at the screen and said no, $$.$$. Now both my wife and I both heard the mistake in the total amount spoken but the person never acknowledged their mistake, OR said she was sorry for the mistake she made. There is also a sign in their drive-thru window which reads: Please do not use harsh words or yell at our staff to break their wonderful spirit, if you think that YOU can do a better job, they're accepting applications, fill one out. How's THAT for customer service? We will not drive down from York, PA ever again to eat at this take-out facility ever again.
One star only because no negative rating available.A sad situation for a once great business. Signage and Web sight claim hours of business 11 am - ...Pull up and nothing. Wait at drive through a few minutes and then they tell us via intercom. "We are not open yet." Silence. No explanation or apologies. So we ask when. They will be open. The reply " about noon". And again silence. It would take three minutes to hand right a note and tack on the sign at the drive up.The Colonel's hair would turn black if he knew how his business has fallen.
They don't have the dining room open yet, so don't go there if you wanted to eat in. They didn't have any shrimp when we went. I wouldn't recommend going here until they get more workers or they open up their dining room. Otherwise, the food is good, and maybe go here if you'd like to wait in the drive thru line like we had to.
