I love this place the food is really good here. Things have changed though you don't have to go to the store to get a ticket to stay here you can go right to the restaurant. And whatever you spend at the restaurant goes towards your ticket to stay. Sometimes this place is packed I see they have a new sheets across the street. That has limited parking. But this place has awesome food and I feel very safe and comfortable parking in their parking lot.
Awesome diner with very courteous & attentive staff. Food was phenomenal ( you have to try the beer battered onion rings) lets just say you wont be disappointed. Also an added bonus for truckers, if you get dinner ( spend a certain amount $$) you get a parking space to relax or sleep after that awesome dinner. We'll definately go back when in the area again.
We stopped at 83 Diner while traveling through the area. We were very pleased that we stopped. The restaurant was very busy. The staff were all on point and worked like a well oiled machine.I got the fried shrimp with onion rings, both were prepared perfectly. Both were hot and not greasy at all. My husband got the 83 burger, it was cooked just as he ordered. His French fries were freshly cooked and hot.You get good sized meal portions and a decent price. I can tell now why all the over the road truck drivers stop here.The restaurant and bathroom were very clean.
We had a fantastic first-time experience at this diner. From the moment we arrived the quality was seen from the order and cleanliness of the place. Everything looked crisp and clean. The bathrooms were also meticulously maintained and clean. The menus were laminated and professionally done. The food in the pictures on the menus matched perfectly what was brought to us, and the taste exceeded expectations. I had the Greek gyro with onion rings and she had a ham club sandwich. The coffee and tea were excellent. Denise, our server, was prompt and delightful. All in all, we had a great meal. We live near State College, but we will definitely drive the 1h 15m back for more meals in the future!
Service was amazing. We were just in town for a day and were drawn in by all the billboards. Their Biscuits are Gravy are the best! The waitress was awesome too. Definitely stop if you are in the area!

First, my problem was not with the wait staff. They were great. My problem was what I ordered. I ordered chicken and waffles. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking the same thing I was, omg, those are fantastic. Not here! Take some boiled or plain baked chicken breast, that has no flavor, the frozen chicken breast for fajitas are gourmet compared to this, then dump the flavorless hunks into a vat of can/jar/instant gravy mix. Now take this salty goo with flavorless chicken chunks, and dump it on undercooked, what looked to be whole wheat, waffles, that taste like batter, and serve it. I not only had the worse version of waffles, whole wheat anything taste horrible, and dump the worse version of chicken and dumplings over it, except there weren’t any dumplings, and that my friend’s is their version of chicken and waffles. With the exception of Philadelphia, I really need to stop eating in PA. I don’t think their tastes buds have properly developed yet.
It was delicious! I loved the country fried steak, and the house rice was to die for.Staff was very friendly, and I was quickly seated and served in a wonderful manner. Highly recommendI always believe in room for improvement which is why I never leave 5 stars
Ordered the ribeye sandwich. It was great.Clean restaurant, friendly staff, good food, and good price. Nailed it. --- They have truck parking FYI drivers (paid parking but also the food you buy at the diner is credited towards parking fee, so my parking was paid for by my meal).
Love this place. Close to highway 83. Interior is beautiful. Nice and clean. Tables and booths. Good service. Sell cakes too. Waiter refilled our coffee a few times before we even finished it. We never need to wait for her. She always came a few minutes before we start looking for her. Food was delicious. Good variety of food. I would like potatoes to be a little bit softer , but otherwise perfect.
