Just wow. Been here on numerous occasions and the food and staff have never let us down. If we have guests in from out of town, we take them here first. Good quality and always fresh menu. If you leave hungry then it is your own fault. Absolutely love it.
Stopped in on our way to New York.the food was excellent and the servers were attentive. What truly impressed me was that while we were sitting there they got a walk in party of 30 and they handled it like absolute pros. That size of a party with no warning would put even a four star restaurant into the weeds. These ladies nailed it. Very impressed.
Outstanding service! Even served by the owner who was so fun to talk with. Kudos to the chef. AWESOME wings and pull pork. Will be back again when in town.
My girlfriend and I have been here multiple times, and each time the waitress’s have been surprisingly and unnecessarily rude for seemingly no reason. The last time we were here, I’m pretty sure it was the owner who took care of us and she asked for our ids and for whatever reason she confiscated them on her way to retrieve our drinks (weird) and about 10 seconds before she came back with our drinks we heard someone who was more than likely on their staff literally yell “ DONT SERVE THOSE 12 YEAR OLDS ALCOHOL” .. safe to say we will never be coming back. We are nice people and weren’t treated with any respect for whatever reason. Not to mention the environment itself felt very unwelcoming to anyone who wasn’t a regular.
Went there with my girlfriend we both got French dip which I had tried there about a year and a half ago and it was pretty good. Definitely not this time though the sandwich part was okay but the dip or soup which is supposed to be French onion. Tasted like a cheap beef bouillon. Neither one of us cared for it

Second time here - will stop for dinner any time we are driving through this part of PA! Great food, atmosphere - staff are friendly. Get the Bear Burger! No complaints!!
I have always loved the Crippled Bear! Always great food & great service! I usually choose not to go just because of how packed they always are ...which speaks for their food & service! Tuesday nights are Bingo nights, which I had no idea until we showed up to eat, & we were all handed Bingo cards & it was even free to play. It ended up being an even better experience! The food was amazing & we had a lot of fun!
I had the Bear Burger with fresh cut fries. It was delicious. Nice little gem of a restaurant.
We just picked up our order. I got a chef salad which was huge. I asked for a vinegar and oil base dressing for it but I got a small thing of oil and a small thing of vinegar, in separate containers. Was I suppose to mix it myself? Never put silverware in the bag and my husband didn't know if the food was ours or not so when he asked the waitress if it was in fact our food, the waitress was rude about it.
