We loved Barrel in the past and went many times as our first date was there back in 2018 however we went last night and was sadly disappointed. First the customer service and our waitress was wonderful!!!! Next the food was not anything like we had in the past. The lamb chop was good however don't order it if you are hungry - my husband got about four bites of meat in fact he had to order a second entrée however the pulled pork left something to be desired. I got the fried chicken sandwich the cheese over powered the chicken that having no taste. My husband got a dessert for his birthday - cheesecake which tasted several days old..... Again our waitress was wonderful and very attentive to all her tables however something needs to be done in the kitchen before we would come back. We will miss having our celebrations of anniversaries and birthdays at the Barrel.
Enjoyed our whole meal, the atmosphere and the staff was so friendly. Ate outside and enjoyed the delicious martinis
An excellent experience all around. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, provided an excellent description of the nights specials and was very tentative to my partner and I. The food itself was of the highest quality! Incredibly fresh ingredients with perfectly seasoned dishes. Tender, delicious gnocchi with beautifully cooked pasta. Overall a phenomenal experience that I look forward to sharing again.
I come to Williamsport every 6 months for work. I always wanted to come here but couldn't make it due to schedule. But finally I made it and what a fantastic meal & drinks I have ! The bartenders are extremely friendly and attentive and will answer any questions and will have great suggestions about the menu for food or drinks. I definitely looking forward for my next visit !
Delicious alfredo sauce meatballs, tuna taco and the butcher block flank steak is not the only reason i will return, the almond cake made from th chef was outrageously mouth watering
Fantastic. Great staff, great food, great drinks!
We had already enjoyed two top-flight meals on our short jaunt to Williamsport. As we prepared to head home we by chance stopped for brunch at Barrel 135. Surprise!! It was even better than the others. The food is locally sourced, perfectly prepared and served by one of my all time favorite servers. Everything was so good that when we got home I immediately began planning another trip to the area.
This was my first time eating here. I got a very berry mojito which was amazing and part of the spring drink menu if I recall correctly. The nightly special was ribeye steak (I think not 100% sure what kind of steak) with a red pepper sauce and roasted baby potatoes and asparagus. Very delicious. Although it is expensive the meal alone was $37. In my opinon though worth it for a very nice night out. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently (but not too frequently). We gave him a good tip. There are cheaper menu options but the special sounded so delicious me and my friend just had to try it.
You know it's a great place when you get there at 4:30 pm and all seats are booked. (First Friday) Bar seating was available we almost changed our minds. So glad we stayed. If you like brisket you'll absolutely love their brisket tacos.
The food was just ok. Nothing really special. Service was ok, until our waitress seen people she knew. She ended up putting my husbands drink down to talk to them and then pick it back up to give it to him. Not professional.
