We had a table reserved but decided to eat at the bar instead. I’m glad we did. We had a chance to chat with one of the owners. He was very welcoming. We loved everything we tried - spinach empanada. papas fritas, arancini, coreano, camarones, and tiramisu. We will definitely return and look forward to trying new menu items.
Absolutely amazing!The food was exquisite. The menu was truly Uruguayan cuisine and reminded me of my time in Montevideo. The chivitos were amazing, and the ravioli were delicious. The cocktails were great too!The place was cute and charming as well. The staff were very welcoming and provided great service.I highly recommend eating here. I will certainly be back when I’m back in town.
MVD has an extensive tapas menu, and honestly you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose! This was the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, including some truly memorable meals in Europe. We are unbelievably lucky to have a restaurant of this caliber in NEPA. Arancini, Pimiento, Miel de Trufa & Burrata, Ravioli… Everything we tried was perfection. Do not pass on dessert - especially if Peras Al Vino is available!
Absolute amazing dining experience! Friendly staff and service from the minute you walk through the door. The food is unbelievable, such unique offerings that are absolutely delicious!!! We're lucky to a place like this around this area. We just discovered it and we'll definitely be back! SMALL PLATE EXTRAVAGANZA !
Based on other reviews we had dinner last night here. Service was excellent! Food was delicious! Decor was welcoming! Cocktails were original! We will come back next time we are in the area.
Nice to have something different in the area. Small plates allow you try whatever you are craving, even if they don’t exactly go together. Food and drinks had a lot of character. Overall great experience, from food, to drinks, to service.
There is nothing like MVD in the Wyoming Valley! It didn't feel like we were even in Wilkes-Barre! This feels like it was a restaurant you would find in the bigger metro areas. Cozy, nicely designed place in the Rolling Mill Hill neighborhood of the city packs a major punch with it's flavorful and creative menu of tapas and friendly, attentive staff. I enjoyed a night out with four other friends so we were able to try multiple dishes shared throughout the group. Everything was fresh, quickly prepared, beautifully plated, and delicious! We started off with a round of cocktails and then dove into ordering empanadas, crostini, and tapa after tapa, then a couple of us finished off with dessert. Everything was priced very reasonably and nothing disappointed! It was hard to pick favorites as everything was just so good! I'm glad I went with friends because some things I would never have thought about ordering myself. Tapas are a great way to try different things. Everyone can find items they will enjoy and the menu changes often with some returning items weekly. The restaurant is small, maybe 10 tables and a bar so it was not loud or crazy busy. It was very cozy, comfortable, and an enjoyable evening catching up with friends over really great food. We all agreed we can't wait to go back again and again!
Great date spot hidden in the neighborhood! Welcoming staff with amazing food. They have a great menu with something for everyone. Be sure to try their perfectly crafted cocktails to keep the good vibes going.

Just dined at MVD, and it definitely won’t be my last time. You can taste the freshness in each bite. Plenty of items to choose from and the environment is very relaxing and comfortable.
