Literally the most extravagant sauce on a piece of Za. Now let me give you the rundown. First, the smell. Smells better than any cookies my grandma ever made. Second, the anticipation of the bite. Next, the first bite of the tip is just to die for. Like mamas milk let me tell you. Then, THE BEST PART, the juicy middle of the slice, makes me wanna rip off my socks. WOW. Finally, there comes a time when all good things must come to an end. And let me tell you the last bite you want to bring an extra tissue with you. The absolute best pizza I’ve ever eaten! I drive 2.5 hours when I have a craving! Thin, light, amazing sauce and the highest quality cheese and toppings! This time I had the white pizza with ricotta and their seasoning! I couldn’t stop eating it! Can’t wait for my next trip! Thanks Gerry’s!
We were told that Gerry’s is a local favorite in Wilkes-Barre, so we wanted to give it a try while we were in the area. What we found was delicious pizza with a couple of hitches in ordering, but well worth it. To be honest, their website needs a bit of work. Their “order online” button really just sends them a note to call you so you can place an order by phone. Their hours also aren’t displayed (but they are here on TripAdvisor, thankfully!). Once you have them on the phone, though, ordering is easy. After ordering, we were told we could pick up our pizza in two hours. That was a bit longer than we’d hoped, but it was a busy night, they were straightforward about it, and it was ready exactly when they said. Picking up the pizza was easy. Gerry’s has a rarity for a pizza place – a drive-up window for pickup. We picked up inside, though, and while indoor dining was shut down while we were there, it had cozy décor and the staff was extremely friendly. We ordered a pizza with Canadian bacon, mushrooms, broccoli, reduced fat cheese and sweet sauce. They were out of reduced fat cheese and offered to go light on their regular cheese instead, which worked out fine. The pizza was a great value, about $15 total. The pizza was heavy on the toppings, nicely decorated with a spiral of their sweet sauce. Cheese was light as ordered. Once we finally got it and dug in, we were in love! The sweet sauce is a delightful combo of tangy and sweet, a must for any order. The crust was delightfully crispy. Even the broccoli was well-cooked without being overdone. The whole pizza was delicious and left us sorely tempted to call back for another pie. All in all, they’re very much worth a call. Anytime we are anywhere near Wilkes-Barre, we will definitely be trying Gerry’s again.
Long time pizzeria. Many toppings to choose from always fresh hot and tasty. One of the better round pies in the area.
I was able to call Gerry's for a gift card and they helped me send one to me in Michigan. They were easy to communicate with and I'm excited to give to my sister in law as a christmas gift. thank you again.
We love Gerry's Pizza in our house! Brian, the manager over at Gerry's is the tops. He always makes sure that everything is just what it is supposed to be... perfect! Oh and the drive-thru is awesome! Yes that's right if you don't know about it Gerry's has a drive-thru--- so if it's pouring rain you can order your pizza ahead of time and get it at the drive-thru. Pandemic going on- you can order it ahead of time and get it at the drive-thru definitely cool! Thanks everybody over at Gerry's for awesome food, awesome service, & awesome staff with great personalities!
Gerry's pizza is amazing as always!! The workers are so friendly and the owner is such a great guy! The pizza of course is always spot on, I have never had a had experience there :)Owner gave myself and my friend some free pizza since the customer who ordered them was being extremely rude.Gerry's is amazing as always! Their pizza is amazing, but 2-3 hour wait times…. Some of us live out of town and are just driving through Wilkes barre. For that reason, I haven’t had Gerries in months. I understand no one wants to work, but there has to be a solution for multiple hour wait times.
