It’s good old home style food. We stop when we can. Only problem is we do not have them in San Diego yet where we live.
Exactly what you'd expect of Cracker Barrel, reliable, familiar comfort food. We hadn't been since before the pandemic, and the menu is definitely much shorter - no more chicken livers! ? - but our dinners were tasty and affordable. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and the restaurant was clean. Most importantly for us, they handled my food allergy easily and without incident. It sounded like a lot of the prep is now done off site, which actually makes it much easier to prevent cross contamination. I had no problem at all.
Really enjoyed eating here, everything was so good and the portions were perfect for me. Staff was very friendly and attentive! They warm up the syrup which is a nice detail and the pancake were perfectly fluffy.Unrelated to food, but the shop inside it was so cute!
Taking a trip to the Poconos, I've never been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant. I'm glad I did not once but twice during my tripFirst time, I tried their southern fried chicken and it was delicious. My closest friends had their country friend steak and they enjoyed it as well.Second time, we went for brunch. I had their sampler which was delicious! My friends had the southern fried chicken which I recommended and French Toast.Very friendly staff, great home feel ambiance. Looks like this is our stop when I go to the Poconos every year
Its cracker barrel. Fun chain restaurant with a large gift shop attached. Food is decent, nothing to write home about but always consistent, so if you find a favorite it will be the same every timePortions are fair, but the real gem here is the pricing. Meals are very fairly priced and you'll walk away with a check that is roughly half of what you'll spend anywhere else.
The food was good. The waitress kept forgetting to bring our biscuits, then said they were hard. It wasn't crowded but took a awhile to get refills. When waitress thought we were done, left a check and disappeared. Waitress also charged us for something she said was free with entree. Woman behind the counter politely removed it.
Had lunch and breakfast while we stayed in the area and it was great staff was amazing. Thank you.
The service could always be better. I don't advise going after 6pm as they frequently run out of seasonal promotional items. Otherwise the food is always great and their giftshop store is awesome for all ages. Great for old school candies and knickknacks.
good food and professional service, warm welcome
I went to dinner with my family hoping to have a nice HOT meal but to my dismay I got just the opposite. The food was all ICE COLD. When I was finally able to get my waitress attention to tell her she abruptly grabbed my plate ran off saying she’d get me a new one. I was already upset I just wanted to see the manager and take my plate home. She returned with a new entrée and was taking the old one away when I stopped her and said I wanted to see the manager. She left and the manager returned. I explained what had happened and she sided with the waitress. I said I wanted the meatloaf I originally had and she indicated it was replaced with the smaller portion on the new plate and if I wanted the old one and new one I would have to pay an additional $6.49 for one slice. I refused to pay the high price so the extra piece was comped after stating it was to be a one time deal. I felt like dirt. All said and done they weren’t to nice. We will not be returning.
