My grandparents lived in Wilkes Barre, PA and this was one place we all had to go to at least once when we visited. This is the hot dog I think of when I want a chili dog. I'm not a huge fan of the redecoration because I loved those old menu signs that was right behind the counter and in front of the kitchen. It's been a few years since I've been up to visit my aunts and uncles but we still stop there.
Abe's Hot Dogs is a true American treasure! The atmosphere is exactly how it should be and the owner commands his place with humor and efficiency. He and his staff make you feel at home. The hot dogs, --oh.. the hot dogs.... They are spectacularly filled with beef and onions! They are a flavor you crave and dream about! I started coming here decades ago with my father-in-law when we we're in town visiting. I took my family here today for a trip down memory lane and a taste of Americana they won't soon forget! Thank you again for spectacular food and hospitality!
The hotdogs... They were dry and the with everything...didn't have much of anything.. at a $1.75 a piece. The land mark has seen better days.It's sad to see a place I went to with my grandfather run it's course
Great hot dog shop, the food is really good and it kind of gives you the impression of going back in time...I plan on visiting it again, it was the first time that I have gone there but, it was very cute an cozy plus the hot dogs are REALLY GOOD..
Love this place since a child, can't go wrong with hotdogs from here
As a man of substantial wealth I can still appreciate when something simple is done right. And these guys do it perfect. I would pay much much more than what they charge. Keep up the good work.
Best place for hot dogs. Was not in there for 4 years and we went back in there for the 1st time today and it It was like we never left and they still remembered us that's why I feel like I'm family. LOVE DAVE SMITH,MISTY AN AURORA ❤
Abe's is a great classic style diner with delicious, reasonably priced fare.I'm so glad I discovered this place after moving to the Wilkes-Barre area!I visit regularly and have brought visiting family with me and we agree that Abe's is a wonderful place to eat!!
