I love the Mac and cheese, brisket is slammin good. Mike's cornbread was sweet to my soul so delicious.I love Mabel's will comeback again.
How did I not know about Mabels? The ribs were amazing. Best fried chicken around. Collards, fried okra, etc. Plus they now have a lot of room for dine in! We can't wait to go back!
Usually I don't do this but I've been a customer of Mabel's for 2 years and I've NEVER been disappointed. My great aunt (who passed away) is the only 1 in my family that I can relate her cooking to. It is literally the BEST home cooked food in this state! I dance like Michael Jackson when I eat her mac and cheese, I sing like Aretha Franklin when I taste her ribs, chicken, and fish!! When people say "you are invited to the cookout" they'd have to ask Mabel because Mabel RUNS the cookout, ok!?!? Even though you wanna smack your momma after eating her cornbread, you better not! Did I mention EVERYTHING on the menu is absolutely delicious??!! I could go on and on but I won't because I got sweet potatoes of hers calling my name. Now go and get some too!!!
My staff and I decided to order from Mables last minute today and the food was so good! All of it! They also have very good customer service! You will not be disappointed! Thanks so much and we will buy again soon!
The BBQ ribs and chicken are very good. The Mac & Cheese is also very good. We love the sides: pork &Beans, green beans. Good place for BBQ.Google just asked me today. It was from a visit last year.
Amazing food. I used to live close 15 years ago and I still think about her food! So so good. Have not had greens as good as hers ever. Worth a 2 hour drive!
*Takeout Review*Food: 5/5Hidden Gem in West Chester.This is my first time visiting Mabel's with my girlfriend, but not the first time I've had Soul Food. With that being said, it is definitely one of the BEST Soul food places I have ever visited. With that being said the restaurant isn't big, only has 2 or 3 sit down tables. But that will not stop us from going again, was not expecting a 5 star looking restaurant went there for delicious food and that's exactly what we got.Service was prompt, we ordered 20 minutes ahead for pick up and it was ready by the time we arrived, in and out in less than 2 minutes.You get 2 sides with your entree, also very reasonably priced (Considering the portion of food you get). Not to mention it is ABSOLUTELY Amazing. Everything is seasoned and flavorful.What we ordered:1/2 RibsFried Whiting FishSides 1: Green beans, sweet potato.Sides 2: Collard greens, potato salad.Highly recommended.
Upon arrival I was greeted and welcomed. The menu and prices are located on the wall board. That made it extremely easy for us to order. We purchased three meals and a dessert for $40 dollars. Food and customer service was great. This bbq reminds of southern style cooking (full of flavor). When I visit Pennsylvania again, Mabels Restaurant will get my business.

I spent 20 years in Texas and the southwest. Mabels is just too sweet for me. I prefer spicey bbq........you will not find that here. It is traditional SE bbq.......I prefer SW bbq.If you like sweet not spicey the it is a decent place. Would not survive in Texas or Colorado.
