First and definitely last interaction with this chain.Pluses: NONEMinuses: a) FOOD - the worst Mexican food we've ever had. Everything was barely worm (Tamale was with still frozen meat inside), tasteless, with wilted spoiled greens inside the burrito and salad.b) SERVICE- ignorant and slowc) VALUE- very badSurprised with 5** rating
This place is absolutely fantastic (great food, clean relatively new location, plenty of parking) and it’s my go to place for Mexican food, but as a fair warning like many other business they’re short staffed. That said they’re doing their best and in my opinion a few extra minutes to wait is absolutely worth keeping this local restarant in business. Food wise their menu nails the best of authentic Mexican food and most items are about $10 which is a rare find in 2022. Overall I will absolutely be back soon!
We ordered a chicken tinga and barbacoa burrito. Both were filled with mainly a mix of rice and a frozen peas/carrots/green beans blend, there was essentially no visible meat in either burrito. There were no refried pinto beans in the burritos as described on menu, and no cheese on top. This was the worst burrito I’ve ever had, which is a shame considering I ordered the same burrito at another El Limon location that was excellent. This was very dry and unappealing.
The best food, great friendly service!
My friend and I ate here this past weekend . I’ve been before but my friend hasn’t . I got the tinga chicken burrito with tomatillo sauce. It was excellent . Came out hot and fresh. Also got the fresh salsa and chips. Our waitress was very friendly and personable . And paid close attention to us. . will definitely be back :)
AWFUL. ordered 2 chicken burritos, lite rice and they LOADED it with rice. Maybe 5 pieces of chicken. Not a bean in the burrito. Called the west chester restaurant to let them know, and they argued with me that the were beans. I said no, we asked for lite rice, that doesn't mean overload it. They were the RUDEST, i asked for a credit and they said no we need the food back.......yeah i don't think so. If you want s rice burrito its the place for you.
I am a regular customer at El Limon in West Chester Pa. I placed an take out for three orders of Chicken Fajitas. Just under 42.00. When I got home they didn't give me the green and red sauce that comes with each order When I went back to get sauce they forgot they would only give me one order for three orders. Made me pay 6.00 for the sauce they forgot to give me originally. I also gave them a 25% tip. Buyer beware! Sam Galt
The staff was rude and the service was terrible. They are only open for dine in sometimes and turn you away quickly. Grand Rodeo is a much better restaurant down the street with awesome food and service.
I have been stopping in to eat here whenever we are in the area, mostly after going or coming from the Airport. The Owner is wonderful and her daughter is an amazing host and server. Sad to say I had an awful experience yesterday when the owner was not here. The person in charge has normally been very helpful and attentive to allergy needs too, however yesterday was not good. There were only two people in the kitchen the place was fairly empty, but my food came out Cold, yes… the meat was cold, possibly out of the fridge precooked and skimpy. My Tamale was overcooked in a microwave… when I asked if it could be heated properly the server/manager said, That’s just the way it is. Unacceptable!!!!
El Limon is great! I order from there weekly. I really enjoy their tortas. The staff is friendly and I haven't had a bad experience on my 20+ trips there. I recommend it for a quick bite in the borough
