I've heard about this place since I was a little girl. When I first tried it (in my late twenties) I understood what my parents raved about. The place is small and looks original but the hotdogs are the best. I took my husband there for the first time over the July 4th holiday. He is picky about... many things, but he agreed these were delicious hotdogs. He even ordered another after he ate two. We love Shorty's.
Drove by this place all the time and never stopped until last weekend got the hot dogs and roast beef sandwich and fries gravy it was amazing nice little gem and the owner was very nice along with the employees.
Hotdogs buns got soggy quick. and Chilli was plain hotdogs tasted like those cheap ones for the price if you've been open for 80 + years don't you think they'd get a little more stuff now
Everyone at the VA clinic raved about this place for lunch, so I had to stop while I was in town. I was NOT disappointed. Best hot dog I ever had....and I'm not a huge fan of hot dogs....but they kept it simple, and I ended up ordering a second one. Fast, friendly staff.... I'll definitely be back and will recommend this establishment to others!
They really good hotdogs with fries and gravy. I am from the Pacific NW and had never had fries with gravy, but apparently that's a thing. It was great and the service was phenomenal! I would definitely go back!
Just as I remembered, delicious. Cash only. No refills on drinks. A little more expensive than when I lived here but still a great meal in Wash Paw
Who doesn't love Shortys? If you don't then I don't want to know you. The place is simple and fantastic all in the same.
Shorty's is genuinely one of the best and cheapest places to eat in Washington. I can't recommend them highly enough, the service is fast, staff is friendly, banter is great, and it's one of the only spots left of it's kind in the area.
SO good. We stopped in on our way north. The french fries and gravy was amazing. Would definitely stop again.
Love coming here when I'm in town, dogs are the best and the prices are great. The staff is also good!
