A perfect old world tea room... beautiful china dishes, delicately flavored teas, masterfully crafted tea sandwiches and desserts. The whole place is sparkling clean, even the bathrooms are a marvel of style. Mary puts the personal touch on everything! A sheer delight!
We had the best time ever!! Great atmosphere, AMAZING food!! Such a sweet waitress & the owner is a doll! We cannot wait to go back again.
A girlfriend and I went for lunch. Food was very good. Very nice items to purchase also.
We had a group of six and they allow you to choose just two teas for the table. A good selection of decaf options as well. The food was mostly tasty but some of options were a bit strange for an afternoon tea. The scone was more like a small cake, there was also some banana bread on the savory plate, and something like a strata as well but not very flavorful and hard to figure out.We has a dairy allergy at the table and they could not clearly tell us which items had milk products and which didn't, so I would recommend not coming here with severe restrictions. A shellfish allergy was fine to accommodate, however.
Mother's Day celebration. So nice to have a quiet, light, delicious treat. Chocolate strawberry tea was fabulous!! The treats were delicious. We will be back!!
A/C units don't work well enough to cool a room full of people, and too much space is taken up by kitschy retail junk and tchotchkes. Crowded with cellphone charms and fast-fashion shirts. Super weird. But the tea service was commendable, the sandwiches and pastries tasty, the scones excellent, and the service good enough.
Amazing tea, food, and staff!
Very neat place! Assortment of tea to pick from for your tea party. Food was very good and definitely filling! Dessert was amazing too. I definitely recommend checking out this place!
Upon being seated, our party of five chose two teas from which we had endless refills throughout our stay. There were fresh orange wedges and a variety of sugar choices to add if we wanted. We were then each served a plate full of a delicious variety of finger sandwiches followed by very tasty desserts. We had a relaxed hour and a half of chatting, eating and tea drinking. This was a birthday celebration for my mother and all of us drove two hours from various places in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to attend the nearby Van Gogh experience at the Tower Theater. I’m so happy we chose The Painted Teacup as our pre-show meal.
The Painted Tea Cup is a very lovely place to enjoy your tea along with your delicate finger food, the atmosphere is cozy and warm...
