They overpromise and under deliver.
Fries tastes like oil. Fries taste like they’ve been cooked in old oil. Wings are over battered. Little pieces of bone in chicken wings.
I have ordered Honey Garlic Wings with bone in, a dozen time with Kimchi Fried Rice. I have never been disappointed. It’s delicious the wings are fresh every time.
Honestly I enjoy the chicken from here and I’ve visited many different locations in many states. However I was a bit disappointed by the tteokbokki. The first time I had it a month ago it was amazing! But today there was little to no cheese (despite me paying a $1 extra), and the sauce had little to no flavor as well. I’ll give this one more try and if it disappoints again I won’t order this specific item anymore. The pictures down below are a comparison. The first picture is from today and then the second picture is from March. I feel like I should receive a refund for this item…..too bad I got home by the time I checked it.
Overall, I like their wings. Fresh, tasty. I don’t usually give bad reviews. This is the third time have had problems with my orders. The first two times, I don't have enough wings with my order. Complained, no further explanation for me. The third time gave me boneless wings instead of regular wings but charged a regular wing price (overcharged).
So we found out about this place from YouTube. Daym Drops did a food review about the “worst reviewed chicken place in his state” which is CT. The food he ordered looked DELICIOUS and when he ate it he exclaimed that he had no idea why it was rated so poorly because it was amazing. My husband recognized the signage and said “hey wait a minute, there’s one of those near us” and we realized that there is one a stone’s throw away in Upper Darby. We live less than 5 minutes away, so we ordered Gangnam Style Chicken, honey garlic chicken, and salt and pepper chicken as well as 2 orders of fries. Well it was DELICIOUS! Finally a place to go near us that isn’t just average at best. Some of the reviews for the Upper Darby location mentioned slow service, but we called ahead and our food was ready at the time it was promised. We will definitely be back and I’m so glad that the people of Connecticut were wrong about this chain. According to their packaging they have locations in 57 countries yet I had never heard of it at all. Well I’m hooked now and can’t wait to get more! The fries are just ok but I don’t care because the chicken is amazing so that doesn’t make enough of a difference to me as I didn’t come for fries, I came for chicken. I wish I had pics to share but we ate it all in minutes and strongly considered going back to get more.
Karen and Ken at the front desk are racist and rude. They are very unprofessional, and said under their breathe, that they hope the cooks take their time with the order. They did not treat other races, that came in there, rude at all. I’ve never been treated so poorly in this store, but these 2 must be new, because I’ve never seen them before.I will never come to this store again!
I usually get the honey garlic boneless chicken with the fries and it it so good. I also tried this fried rice with egg and that was good as well. My favorite is the roasted coconut boboa tea.
Employees don’t know how to talk to people over the phone and the boss stand by them sad to say they recently just lost a customer ! And via your response think you have the customer mixed up love. And same to you .
Amazing food, amazing staff. Redefines the entire contemporary chicken based meal industry. I was, however, perturbed today by an “Emillia” character screeching over the phone threatening to “slap the shit” out of a young and innocent worker. Odd. Very odd. ~Upper Darby Chicken Connisoer Connoisseur
