Very disappointed in the last experience with the person taking phone orders. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for years and have always had a special request when it comes to the szechuan chicken (no sauce on the chicken) side of the (szechuan) sauce—extra charge is no problem. There’s usually way too much sauce used when they prepare it as is. This phone order when much differently as the person taking the order sighed when I made the request, then attempted to make the order a la carte— Ummm no thank you. When I explained this was never an issue in the past, he pulled the change in policy card. LOL, Really?! The food is good but not worth paying almost $20 for schezuan chicken. I’d rather order from a more upscale Asian restaurant. I’ll take my business elsewhere, will not order from this place again. The three stars is because the food isn’t bad but customer service is.
The person who took my order on the phone, he burned my day.next bad experience I had when I went to pick up food through their small window . All I can say they have some test-less food with massive worst behaviour.

No condiments! !! ; - ( I stopped by on the way thru traffic a hour from my home to buy $33 Worth of Chinese food and get home to find out I get 5 shrimp rolls with NO sauce, Lo mein with no soy sauce and Shrimp fried rice NO sauce. No duck sauce hot mustard no napkins no nothing!! Well I hope the food is good enough to eat without it. Please put a sign letting new customers know they need to request at the door any condiments. Not to mention they only take orders by phone and NO one is allowed in the restaurant. What a way to show appreciation for my business! No food is that good, you could have asked if I needed condiments as a courtesy!
I've been to most of the Boqueria locations at this point and would say this one is on par in terms of quality! I came with a group for outdoor dining - setup is pretty good considering it's Times Square, and they benefit from being pretty far in from the street - and tried a bunch of things:
Chicken and Broccoli over rice is bland with little to no chicken. The guy who took my order was very rude and shoved my order into my hands when I went to pick it up.
The food is awesome & it's zabihah halal.
