Me and my sister love this place. We always go once in awhile because of (our crazy busy schedules) but the vibe is always friendly, diverse, and everyone is always enjoying themselves. The owner is pretty darn cool too. ? We stepped in for a drink, and ended up laughing and having a good time with the bar tender, owner, and other customers.Definitely love the vibe here every time we step inside. ??????
I had a awesome time there...the ppl were friendly and the vibe was on point...very comfortable atmosphere and what I found most impressive is the restrooms are CLEAN!!!

My first mistake was going to this bar to eat, not drink.I came here for dinner. Ordered the jambalaya, the enchiladas and my husband ordered a lamb burger.The lamb burger was good (according to my husband)The jambalaya was not. It was a far cry from anything resembling a real jambalaya. It was labeled as a soup so I thought it would be small. It was a fairly large rice dry spiced rice dish. Strange.The enchiladas had marinara sauce which made them taste like pizza, which was confusing for my brain to process. It took me a few bites to comprehend why I disliked it despite the flavors being fine.Honestly this place seems like a clean nice bar, just not a place for anyone to eat at who isn't drunk.
Good food even better drinks and the waitress wasn't so bad either, lol
Great friendly place with a convenient neighborhood location. Used to visit almost every day when it was known as the Friendly Tavern with bartender named Cuz.

Please read the whole thing, slowly - this is, in fact, a POSITIVE review ??♀️--------------------------------------It's decent for a neighborhood dive bar (but don't let the photos fool you... the real place is nowhere near as "movie set cool lights" - lit as the photos show) ? But it IS bright enough to see your food and drink.I've been there twice so far. Much to my pleasant surprise, the clientele seem fairly diverse... I've seen POC men - with varying levels of melanin - close to my age there, amiably co-mingling with people of "other" phenotypes. In these divisive and trying times, seeing that was very encouraging to me. It tells me that this isn't one of "those" bars (if you're an outgoing POC in Rural America, you know what I'm talking about).I have a few more comments but I'll keep them to myself for now. I'll update this review after I've visited it a few more times (edit: Please note, I plan to drop by again. AFAIK, that's a POSITIVE thing, yes).
