The first time I had been there in a few years. I used to go here frequently whenever I worked in town. The place is still beautiful inside. Got the chicken Parm. The sauce was awful and bitter. The piece of chicken was average. Very overpriced. The only reason this gets three stars is because of the nostalgia of the way that I remember it being for the prior 25 years
Great historical place, great food and atmosphere was very nice. However, I have a service dog that they seemed a bit not happy to have him in their establishment. Dog was polite, quite and not intrusive. People coming in back door having to step around him seemed to be annoyed. I finally moved to a dark corner as to not be the annoying guy with a service dog. Sorry my disability was an inconvenience.
Unfortunately I drove close to 45 min to have dinner with my girlfriend. The staff overheard part of a conversation where she said she did not know where she was at. They accused her of being on something.. she said she did not know where she was cause I surprised her she has never been there before. She just got off work, here I'm so excited to go somewhere I have not been in over ten years and the staff ease drops on part of a conversation and makes accusations tells me they are trained... sorry the food was excellent but I even was going to the bar to get myself my second beer.. I still left 15% but man really dampen the night..
Most of the time I would rate this local restaurant a 4 or 5 star. I let it at a 4 on this review but it was really a 3. We did have a party of 8.We put in 3 Appetizers, pepperoni rolls, hot peppers, and calamari. The kitchen was fast and food was good. Our meals were had also come out in a timely manner two of us ordered a steak salad, 2 chicken salads, 2 mozzarella sticks and side salads, a steak sandwich, and salmon salad. The only complaint with our food is on the salads there was barely any Lettuce. So where does the 3 come from besides the lack of Lettuce, was the server. He took a long time taking and getting our drinks- didn't ask any of us if we wanted another alcoholic drink, slow taking our order and actually forgot my one friend and took 15 min. To get our checks and 15 min. To cash us out.
If you want a good bite of food on a random whim this place is awesome, Nice little tavern tucked in the corner with an awesome bar and back dinning room. The service was awesome and on point not to mention The food was excellent, I was able to order off the dinner menu even though they were serving lunch. 10/10 will go again.
Food was great - service was ok. Prices were high but you have to except that these days.
We just went for happy hour for beer & pizza, but it was wonderful! Nice crowd, great staff & I can't wait to go back for an actual dinner. The entire place is beautiful, with so much history!
Had Booth Reserved but wasn’t allowed to sit there because 3rd Person couldn’t make it so we had to sit at a Very small Two Top. Mean while the whole time we sat there an ate, Know one used the Booth plus there was another booth Available an never used, Waitress was Very Rude, Was told Wings on Wing nite a week ago was 14.99 but was Charged $20. Never will we go there Again.
Excellent main course choices in dining. The tavern side had great pizza. Both have excellent service.
Service is awful but the food is decent (sometimes)! I’ve been here about 10-15 times the last year alone and have experienced this almost every time so felt the need to write something finally. When you walk into the establishment you feel uncomfortable because nobody acknowledges you to seat you & you stand there in the way but workers at the bar glare at you like you’re doing something wrong trying to support their business. The restaurant can be empty and they will close in 1-2 hours but only seat you at a high top. Pizza is good if you order in but if you order take out enjoy your soggy cold pizza. Steak special was $30 a was the size of my 5 year olds fist. I don’t mind paying $30-$40 a meal if it’s worth it but this food and service isn’t. Waited once at the pick up window for 20 mins rang the bell multiple times & workers looked at me but never acknowledged me. I know workers are hard to come by but maybe training for customer service and having a host would help boost business. I won’t be returning for a while.
