Long wait for a table. From time we entered the restaurant and received our entrees about an hour passed. The bread served was like Italian loaf bread. Plain, not a fresh bake. I had the eggplant parmesan, which did not have a lot of parmesan. I felt the sauce was a little heavy on salt. Hubby's and MIL had the veal. They both complained that it was overcooked, stringy and a lot of gristle. Our waitress was good at refilling my water. The restaurant seems a bit dated as well. Sorry I couldn't give a better rating.
This is one of my hometown restaurants that I haven't been to in many years. I was in town and found they have daily dinner specials. I went with a party of 3 on a Tuesday evening, which was Veal Parmesan night. We had about a 15 minute wait and were the only party wanting as they were full. When we were seated our order was taken immediately. Two of us ordered the veal which came with a side and salad. The salad and bread came out quickly. From the time we placed our order we waited 45 minutes until our entrées were out. The flavor and the quantity was good. However the veal was overcooked, tough and stringy (gristle). The service and prices were good. I ate my dinner but another in my party could not. They couldn't even cut the veal. We were honest about the veal when asked how everything was. The server removed the veal from our check and only charged for the sides which were eaten. The reason for the lack of stars was the wait and the veal. I hope for a better experience next time.
One of my favorite Italian restaurants ever! The veal is so good! We drive from Pittsburgh just to eat here. There's a ton of restaurants in our area but none can hold a candle to Melonis. The owners are always there and greet you with a warm welcome and ensure you are enjoying your meal. 10 out of 10!
My friend took us here. The restaurant is old time Italian. The prices were excellent. Service was fantastic. I had the veal parmesan and my wife had the seafood platter. Everything was excellent from start to finish.
Great service and excellent Italian food! I recommend 100% ?
Meloni's serves the most amazing Italian food ?. They are one of the few places that I know that makes Chicken Romano. I opt for angel hair pasta and a dinner salad with sweet and sour dressing that's made in house. Included in the dinner salad are beets, olives, cukes, tomatoes and croutons. I hold out the beets and olives, then request them to add onion.Weather you plan on dining in or taking out, be sure to inquire about their daily specials. (Hot tip: If you want to do a take out order over the weekend, it has to be done be 4PM. ) Definitely keep them in mind if you plan on coming to the Uniontown, PA or Ohio Pyle/Laurel Highlands area, your tummy will that you!
I’ve always enjoyed eating at Meloni’s. Today’s lunch was the best meal I’ve ever had there. I ordered the steak salad. The steak was what made the salad so good. It was so tender, not chewy at all. It was the best steak I’ve had in a while. Whoever cooked that steak knows what they’re doing. I’m going to get lunch from there more often.
My first visit,, so at this time I can say the Lobster Ravoli & Chili was awesome. The meal also came with fresh itialian bread & real butter, they included the fake butter as well but for taste I opted not to use it. Overall I was extremely pleased with my meal and can't wait to go back
Ate in but wanted a to go as well and they wouldn't take my to go order since it was after 4? But I didnt finish my meal and was offered a container? So I guess you would have to order 2 meals and then ask for a container? Just thought it was weird especially since we were also eating in at the time? It wasnt just a pick up.
This is a well established restaurant that serves well prepared and tasty Italian food. The service is great. I had the veal parmesan. Very good. ????
