Just had to go based on all the reviews here. Got the strawberry (and whipped cream) waffle. Very good! My wife got an omelet; also very good.
It's the Waffle Shop..a long standing staple of the State College community. You can't go wrong. As usual a bit of a wait to get a table, but that is a good thing. Food and service were good as always. When you have a place that is this good, no need to change the recipe.Can always count on it being a great experience.
Breakfast omelette was awesome and the home fries were fantastic too. Just stopped in while passing through to Hershey and did not disappoint! Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area again
I had an omelette with green peppers and mushrooms, and it was cooked perfectly—slightly runny in the middle and cheese nicely melted. Buttermilk pancakes were solid. The home fries were closer to roasted potatoes, but I enjoyed them regardless.
What a place!! I wish i live close to this amazing waffle cafe.. love ld the food but service was not that good.
First time here & it did not disappoint! Went here on a Sunday - it was PACKED. A line was starting form outside, but we waited for 10-15min tops. The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, despite being busy. Our food came out quickly - it was wonderful! Good quality breakfast food too. I highly recommend coming here!Tip: If you go earlier than 10AM, you’ll be less likely to be in a line that wraps around the building. A lot of state college kids & visitors go to this one!
Very good food at a fair price. The orange juice was half the price of my meal and I couldn't drink it. It was very Tart and I couldn't drink it. Although, it's freshly squeezed and the other guys didn't mind their's. I'll definitely be going back and sticking with water
An original, no doubt. The service is usually pretty sharp! Long lines most of the time, but the attentive service balances that out. The food is well prepared, and has its own unique taste for Waffle Shop. Only enjoyable experiences so far!
Sit at the bar for a unique experience and quick service if it’s busy.
Best state college breakfast. On the weekends there’s definitely going to be a wait. Around 15-20 minutes once it’s out the door. But food comes out pretty quick and it’s worth it.Steak and eggs: good, and very basic. Big fan of the potatoes which were creamy & delicious!Chocolate chip waffle: I love how “fluffy” it is. Best waffle I’ve ever had!Definitely recommend
