We bulk ordered food from here for a club event and The Koop did not disappoint! The staff and especially the manager Stacy were wonderful to work with! We got the bulgogi, fried dumplings, kimbap and japchae. They even threw in a large container of rice and some kimchi for free! The food was delicious and an absolute hit! We're all big fans of The Koop now and I highly recommend eating here!

It was a good for the most part. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food tasted good. And their prices are fairly reasonable in my opinion. However, there are some downsides to this place that are worth mentioning: 1. It was very cold inside. It felt like temperature wise there was no difference between outside and the inside seating area. 2. Our food order took way longer than anticipated considering the fact we just ordered simple menu items. It took closer to 40 minutes to get our 8 piece fried chickens (3 identical orders). Since we went there during our 1 hour lunch break we didn’t get to finish our food. So it was quite disappointing. And what was most surprising is that aside from us there were only two other tables that had people sitting. Otherwise, it was quite empty, so I’m not sure why our orders took extremely long to get them out…

I LOVE the koop chicken wings! I have eaten in the restaurant and have ordered out numerous times. I usually go for the honey garlic drumsticks or the boneless chicken with the budae jigae soup. I have tried the kimchi pancakes, spicy rice cakes, and fried dumplings which are all tasty.

the chicken is always good but the rice gets worse every time. I've had a lot of not-the-best rice but this is the first time I've actually stopped eating it because the texture was so off-putting

The Korean food was adequate and prepared to us expected. If you happen to be a wheelchair user, you are going to be very unhappy with this restaurant. I had to enter the rear down a greasy slope that was dirty at the bottom.

Wonderful food and great staff who work hard to get things right. They were having a very busy night but still took time to be kind and helpful to everyone. Ate the food too fast to photograph. The chicken was perfectly crispy and the pork was amazing! Will be back!

The Koop is one of the best places I have gone for Korean Fried Chicken. They never disappoint and everything on the menu is delicious. My favorite is the boneless fried chicken, I recommend getting the soy garlic sauce on the side.

Pretty decent chicken. Close to be authentic. Little pricy but worth it. We also had the beef bone soup. It was really good. I recommend.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the wings. They were called “extra spicy wings” and they weren’t spicy at all. I found the breading to be overkill. I wasn’t really a fan, but other might like

I've often ordered take-outs since it's nearby my work and always gotten great experiences ie. shorter waiting time and wonderful customer service. The food, esp. the fried boneless chicken and the kimchi, have been consistently tasty. Delivery might take some time (1+ hr) but it was Doordash's fault lol. I highly recommend you should give this place a second chance if you were once disappointed as we don't have many choices of good foods in State College (let alone authentic cuisines!!) and this place is one of the very few that could always satisfy both my picky eater/bf's taste & mine. Parking might be tricky but there's free 3-hr parking now! My favorite is an order of Small Fried Boneless Chicken with extra spice & my bf's is same with no spice/flavor at all. One small order could easily & generously feed both of us but we have opposite references ha ha ?
