We tried Snap Custom Pizza out today for the first time and it was delicious. We tried the normal crust and the cauliflower crust. The normal crust is airy and a great pizza crust. The cauliflower was thin and crispy and also very good. The El Diablo sauce has a good kick to it if you like spicy. We will definitely be back.
The price and size of the meal are good. However, depending on who is serving, they tend to skimp on the toppings and then put too much ranch or whatever dressing comes with the pizza one orders. Service is fast and friendly.
What happened, Snap? Not sure if there are new owners/management but please do not eat here if you have a gluten allergy. Yes, they offer gluten-free pizza crust but they make no efforts to accommodate those with gluten allergies anymore. Previously, they would change gloves, wipe down the prep area, and cook your pizza in a separate oven. They even utilized a separate prep area. It was a safe place for those with gluten allergies. Not anymore!Went in with my son tonight for dinner and ordered what we usually do, because we used to be able to get safe gluten-free pizza here. Gentleman behind the counter rudely pointed to a sign about cross contamination. Having eaten here a dozen times with zero issue, and because the above precautions had been taken, we went ahead with our order. Should’ve walked out. Safe to say we won’t be returning to Snap again! They used to be so accommodating to customers with gluten allergies and now we are looked at as if we are an inconvenience. It looks like we aren’t the only ones who have had this experience based on recent reviews and each person gets the same cut/paste reply from management. What a disappointment!Don’t eat here if you have a gluten allergy!!
Tried the macaroni and cheese pizza and it was dry and bland. Nothing horrible but nothing amazing. I might return to try other things but I was not too impressed.
Fancy pizza joint in a college town with plenty of competition. Nice standard flavor combinations to choose from. Was a little surprised they closed at 9 while school was still in session… would have thought they’d be able to stay open later.
Since I used to manage here I had pretty high expectations. Un-picked basil that went through the oven is gross everyone. Also, it’s probably easier to eat if you cut it? Just an idea, throwing it out there. Still the best cauliflower crust and balsamic glaze around & the fresh mozz was good. Do better ?
What a great place to enjoy a custom made fresh pizza! My son, a Penn State student, recommended this location on my recent visit and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! The pizza is freshly made and we ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, margarita pizza and cinnamon sticks. Wow is the best way to describe. Really tasty and filling. Everything was perfect. The location is well kept and the staff was friendly too! Highly recommend visiting when downtown visiting Penn State. You won’t be disappointed.
Really cute place, great place to go when the weather is nice because the have an open style. Lots of tables.Did a CYO pizza. Vegan cheese available nearly $3 up-charge. Mushrooms, peppers, caramelized onions, basil, balsamic drizzle and truffle oil. $14.50
I was recommended the buffalo chicken pizza and it is delicious. Not too spicy that I couldn’t eat it but just enough to be flavourful with a little heat behind it. Service was friendly and quick. The store and staff were clean and professional. Torey, the GM, is very nice and recommended the buffalo chicken. I was worried last year when I moved to SC that there wouldn’t be any good pizza here but I didn’t need to worry. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t.
While a bit pricy, well worth the ability to create your pizza. The place was well run, had straightforward service, and the hot honey is the main star of the show. Definitely a place to go if you have time to sit down and enjoy a meal.
